Top 20 Swiss Chronometer Watch Brands: Rolex Leads the Pack
Here, we examine data from COSC that reveals the top 20 Swiss watch brands by number of COSC chronometer certificates issued to them in 2012. An interesting list for fans of swiss made watches. In 2012, COSC (Contr?le Officiel Suisse des Chronomtres), the official chronometer certification agency of Switzerland, issued 1.73 million chronometer certificates for swiss made watches. This marks a record high, up 6 percent over chronometer production in 2011. The 6-percent rise comes on top of a giant jump in 2011, when chronometer certificates increased by 28 percent. According to COSC's data, which WatchTime obtained from the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, an additional 87,911 timepieces were submitted to COSC that did not pass the certification process for swiss made watches. In order for a watch to bear COSC's official title of chronometer, its movement must pass an extensive battery of tests. Help! I love my new Ceramic Diver, but my wrist doesn't!
Hey Fellow AP Fans,I really need your help here! If you caught my thread from last week, I just bought the all Ceramic Diver from APNY. I am absolutely over the moon about the watch itself, but I am running into a serious problem that I never could have predicted: my wrist . I broke the growth plate in my left wrist twice in my teenage years, and I tend to get pain randomly (usually from exercise - never from a watch). I've never owned a watch as big/bulky as the Diver and it happens to rest right up against the growth plate on my wrist, putting pressure right where the bone broke. My wrist has been aching like crazy toward the end of each day I have worn the watch to the point where I have had to take it off a couple of times. What do you guys think I should do? 1. Endure the pain! 2. Wear the watch sparingly - not every day and not for full days at a time (bear in mind that I can really only justify owning one $20k+ watch, and I bought the Diver to be my daily beater!) 3. Minimize my

My 5980 & Happy 2018 TRF Members!
A while back on a thread I was discussing with a fellow member about giving RB a shot at my 5980 because I love the watch so much but the leather doesn't work for me due to the humid places I travel to, I also love being on the water so leather is always a problem. Plus I hate taking this watch off at a hotel or any other place that is not home. The fit is perfect. I was hesitant for this specific watch. I have RB on my Daytona for fun but this is different. I have to say that don't regret the choice one bit. This 5980 will be getting a lot of wrist action on 2018 including the New Year's Eve party I will be going to in Miami! See you later freezing NYC! Also I want to wish all the members here a prosperous and healthy 2018 so we can continue the great conversations and enjoying our toys for many years to come!
