Introducing The Rubber B Rolex Deepsea Glidelock Watch Strap
Rubber B is an American company?which?has been known to manufacture?high-quality vulcanized rubber straps for?Rolex and Panerai brand watches. What separates them from the majority of other third-party suppliers is that their straps are designed to follow the shape of the case of the watch they were made for?with?extreme accuracy.?The brand's latest carbon-fiber-fused rubber?strap is for one of Rolex's heftier models: the Rolex Deepsea. You see, when it comes to the aftermarket for?straps, we certainly are spoiled for options. Most of these take the form of custom leather, or any variety of nylon one-piece straps, also known as NATO?straps. When picking up a rubber strap for your sport watch, (which, by the way, is a great option for summer activities), however, then things get a bit dicier. As unassuming as "rubber strap" may sound, there actually are a vast number of options that come in ever more diverse levels of quality.?Depending on where it comes from, it may actually be silicone
I love my Speedy Pro BUT
--I hate winding it. I love my other manual winding watches, but I find the crown too small for my comfort. I'm thinking of flipping it for a Speedy with an auto movement. What do you guys think are the best choices? I don't care if it has a date or not. Don't care what the case back is either. Thanks for any guidance!
When will Omega put out a new dive watch ??
Here's an interesting question. Omega redesigned the Seamaster Pro (the James Bond 2531.80 style, with the James Bond Bracelet) in what, 1994, 1995 or so ?? Then the Planet Ocean with the new Co-Axial movement came out in, like 2005, so my question is, when will Omega introduce a new Dive watch, and what do you think it will be/look like/the movement, etc. Knowing Omega, and how often they come out with new watches, who knows, but do you think the Planet Ocean will be thier flagship dive watch, like the original Seamaster has been before the PO for quite some time to come, or ??? I guess what I'm trying to say is, when will the Planet Ocean NOT be Omegas primary dive watch, and some other newly designed watch take the place of the PO ?? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Patek Philippe NYC Event- June 2013
I have had two consecutive weeks with Patek. On Thursday, I was invited to attend the NYC Chronos and Repeater event. To say the least it was spectacular. The entire Stern Family was there. Also, The CEO Mr. Penny, The Head of Marketing and the entire Henri Stern NYC team. To say the least it was over the top. Attached are some pics of the event. Mr Thierry Stern asked me when I was leaving if I was tired of Patek? The simple answer Mr. Stern is NO!Repeaters first!(SORRY THE LIGHTING WAS TOUGH!)
