2 Weeks with an AP Diver... a new owner review.
I am new to AP. But to to high-end watches, owning or having owned VC, PP, Piaget, Rolex, JLC, Glashutte, Omega and others, I had been close to buying AP in the past, but for one reason or another, the stars did not align. Admittedly, one of the main reasons behind having second thoughts at the moment of truth were based on negative comments on this very same forum, regarding lack of reliability on the movements, lack of accuracy, and in general, a feeling like you would have to be madly in love with the watch to put up with so many deficiencies. Never having sent a Rolex in for service, preventive or otherwise, I had come to expect high-end watches to be at least, highly reliable. But some of the stories I read would not depict AP in a good light. So after reading almost every review I could find on the Diver, I decided to give it a try. And indeed, after having it on my wrist at the AD, I was madly in love with it. So much that I was willing to throw caution to the wind an

SMPC under the sea...cos I'm a poet and didnt even know it...
Dive watches are made for under the sea as far as I'm concerned...All my dive watches have to be able to come with me in the silent world. This graduation gift will see a LOT of bottom time I tell you..in this last 2 years it's performed admirably...Sorry for the murky pictures but visibility was bad .A few photos of my last dive last weekend ...well whats the time...Guess its time to go buddy ;)...Hope you enjoyed the pics ...

Need some opinions please (Day Date)
Just looking for some views from everyone on my next pick up. Long story short the Day Date has always been my grail watch and finally it's time to jump on one. Originally I was totally sold on the Pink gold, Green dial 60th Anniversary Day Date but having recently tried on a different Rose gold Day Date I realised that the rose just isn't for me and my skin tone sadly. So now it's yellow gold for me with the gold face, for me the classic Day Date I remembered from my childhood. So it's a 228238 for certain... I was totally set on the numerals as I love how they fill up the dial but I've been offered a great deal on a 228238 with the diamond baton markers. Thoughts please as I really need a few other opinions on this one.
