Watches NEWS
MCT Frequential One F110 Watch
For 2015, MCT presents their second major watch collection - the Frequential One, as a new piece next to the existing Sequential One and Sequential Two watch families. The MCT Frequential One F110 also represents a new entry-level price-point for the brand, coming in at about half the price of a Sequential Two S200 timepiece. With a movement that is more traditional than the Sequential series, the Frequential One nevertheless, offers an exciting and highly visual mechanical experience for those looking to wear a luxury watch that is clearly outside of what one might consider ordinary. When I first started writing about watches back in 2007, it was the high-point of what I'll call the "independent watch renaissance" - a time when luxury consumer enthusiasm and willingness to try new things prompted an unprecedented explosion of investment into small high-end watch brands. That period didn't last very long, however, because when the economy sank, so did consumer spending on new, untested
MB&F HM3 Chocolate Frog Limited Edition Watch
As part of high-end watch forum ThePuristSwatches-dealer's 10th anniversary, MB&F will offer a (more) limited edition version of their Horological Machine No. 3 "The Frog" watch called "The Chocolate Frog." MB&F is really rewarding their fans and early adopters with this move. There are a fair number of happy MB&F watch owners who are part of the "PuristS" community, who themselves have helped to support MB&F in its early stages. More and more we see the best and more innovative watch brands working closely with the online content providers and communities that strive to support them. A win/win move? I'd like to think so.The Chocolate Frog will be limited to just 10 pieces, and will be variation on the original HM3 Frog watch that I wrote about here. Funny how brown is a color that has been en vogue recently. There was once a time when a watch maker wouldn't think to ever make a brown colored watch (or one with a brown colored dial). Why? Retailers were afraid they woul
Seamaster PO vs Aqua Terra
I just purchased a 45.5 PO chrono w ceramic. Beautiful watch however just saw the AquaTerra chrono and it really sang to me. I'm looking for an all around watch I can dress up or wear w casual. I'm thinking about making a change and wanted to hear anyone's opinion on the 2 watches. One downside I have w the PO is that it wears a little heavy for me and I'm not sure how it will work with a suit having the high profile. Thanks
PloProf "dressing"?!
Bracelet or strap ?!!
I need some 1968 speedmaster info please...
Hey all, I have a 68 speedmaster that was reworked last year, when fully wound what amount of power reserve would I expect and what time differences have you seen on your watches, say I set time to 18:00:00 and within 1-2 days with regular winding and not running the stopwatch, should I see a gain or loss of time within 1-2 min. or more? thanks for any input........ also when you pull the crown out to set time does the second hand for the watch stop [ mine keeps ticking] -Andy
