The New Seiko Mechanical Line (SARB027, SARB029, SARB030) From WatchReport.com
The past few years have seen steady growth in the diameter of men's watches. In the 1950s, a dress watch was expected to be slim and small, the normal size being somewhere between 32 and 35mm wide. These days, anything less than 38mm is considered dainty, and even 50mm and beyond isn't unheard of.However, not everyone wants such a large watch, or for that matter, the bold styling that often accompanies it. These more traditional men seem to be the target market for Seiko's recently introduced line of four mechanical dress watches, all with classic styling and very conservative 36mm cases. They are based on the new 23-jewel 6R15B movement with both hand-winding and hacking, and are known as the Seiko Mechanical line.Click on the above text for the full article at WatchReportwatches-dealer. Introducing the Victorinox Chrono Classic 1/100th
Announced at Baselworld 2013, Victorinox has updated a number of models in their existing line, including their very popular Air Boss and Maverick timepieces. Most exciting of the updates however is the new Chrono Classic 1/100th model, which features an interesting Swiss-made Soprod SOP FM13D quartz movement with "hidden" chronograph function, numerically displayed 1/100th second indicator and perpetual calendar.Measuring 41mm in diameter, the Chrono Classic is robust, but not too oversized, and features a mixture of brushed and polished finishing throughout, including guilloche decoration on the dial and a printed tachymeter along the outer rim of the case bezel. The Chrono Classic comes in a number of color finishing and strap combinations, including dark grey PVD with a black leather strap or metal bracelet, or gold PVD with a brown leather strap or metal bracelet.Water resistant to 100 meters and featuring a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, the Chrono Classic is buil
Fellow Canadian Help?
Apparently it is impossible to locate AP's in Canada, with the closest dealer 900km away, and only stocking ONE Offshore watch. So I'm putting it out there if there is a fellow Albertan in the forums who can help and has a AP ROO RG, Rubberclad, Safari or Navy to let me buy you a coffee and fondle your timepiece (I'll bring mine too!)I am dead set on an AP to round of the collection but wont pull a 20-30k trigger without trying it on first. Who knew it would be easier to buy a PP rather than an AP up here.I envy Americans with dealers readily availble! lol
Need quick advice: SD43 decision today
Hi All - currently in a cruise and pulled into Falmouth, Jamaica this morning. AD at port has a SD43 available immediately at $10,800 USD all in. I have the BLNR and love it..wear it daily. I need to make a call in next two hours. Two questions: 1. Is this a fair price on the SD43? Is it too similar to the BLNR in your opinion. Appreciate any input. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
switching oyster to jubilee
Good day. Just wondering if anyone knows whether I could put on a jubilee bracelet on my Pepsi GMT16710 circa 2000? I went to Rolex NYC and they said I could not since the watch did not come with one. Would the jubilee not line up with the lugs? If it is compatible, where would I source one? I have oysters on a couple other sports models so I thought it would be cool to switch it up on the pepsi. Thoughts?
