Just tried on the AP ROO Safari
Finally found one in the flesh, though the AD said it might be the last one he gets with the cream face, new ones will have the brown dial. Looks massive to me compared to my SS DaytonaC, but I kind of like the contrast in styles and colors. Thoughts on maybe flipping the Daytona for a BLNR for everyday use and then grabbing the AP?IMG_0851.jpgIMG_0854.jpgSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Question on ceramic
I just got my new ceramic the other day. First ever AP! When I got it I noticed there was some metallic mark on the bezel by the edge. Wasn't sure what it was, so I contacted AP service. They took it, said it was probably some transfer from some other material, and cleaned it off. I got it back yesterday, but now I noticed this other thing near the same area, and I'm pretty sure wasn't there before. Though it could just be part of the finishing? Wanted you guys to take a look and see what it was. I asked AP service about it, but I'm waiting for a response back. But the lady told me the watchmaker said the bezel was perfect now after they cleaned it. Screen Shot 2016-12-16 at 3.17.46 PM copy.jpg
Boutique to open in Roseville Galleria
Stopped by to check out a vacancy in the Westfield Roseville, CA Galleria food court this weekend and noticed a giant orange PO poster that said Omega Boutique coming soon. I know there's at least 2-3 Rolex ADs alone inside that massive maze of a mall so it will be interesting.

ImpoSSible
There's been an overwhelming barrage of threads lately where regular Joes like myself have complained about the impossibility of getting a stainless steel Rolex at retail. I only very recently (last week) learned of just how impossible a feat this really is. The popular SS models are pretty much exclusively reserved for VIP's-- people who've spent $100k+ on jewellery and less-desirable Rolexes/watches-- and while they may have lists for us ordinary shmucks, they don't really mean a thing. Even if you're so lucky to hear the (deceitful) words you're on the list, it's really just a thinly veiled no as there'll always be someone who comes along before your name is reached who'll get dibs first. It just really irks me that having the money--$10k+-- is simply no longer enough to get you a watch. $10k may be chump change to some folks on here, but to the vast majority of the world it's a hell of a lot of money, no less to spend on a mass-produced watch boasting such antiquated mechanisms- ju
