Jaeger-LeCoultre: Making Timepieces In The Heart Of Watch Country
I am in Switzerland �C in the Jura mountains to be exact �C and it is snowing. As a California guy I don't see much snow. In fact, the only times I have really seen snow in my life has been in Europe. The place looks like something out of a Christmas card. There is white covering the ground and lining the trees while quaint little buildings spew puffs of smoke out of their chimneys. It is all very charming in a sort of storybook way. It is also the perfect setting for watch making, and the winter window views of the men and women who work at Jaeger-LeCoultre.I heard some interesting history which helps to explain at least part of why there are so many watch brands up here. The mostly agrarian culture (traditionally) didn't have much to do during the long winters. So an indoor activity would have made the most sense. This area also has relatively easy to mine metal ore deposits which the people here have been using for a long time to make metal tools and things like musical instruments. O

Hi,I need some help choosing a watch from PP and cant get my head around what's the right watch for me. Of course I would like to have the Nautilus or the Aquanaut but due to the crazy waiting I am thinking of buying a something else until I can get my hands on one of those. Requirements: Budget max 30k euroI wear all my watches so it must be able to handle itCurrently have a Sub, Old Cartier dress watch and some sport watches.Watch need to be in steel, white gold or platinumWhite dial I would like to buy new PP from AD Would you chose one of the Caltravas models or from the complication collection?I have been looking at 5153G, 5227G, 5296G, 5296G. What would you recommend? Ideas? Or maybe go Vintage and by a Comex (if I can find one)? Im not a big fan of AP and the royal oak...

Steel Calatrava
I love the 5296G and was actually trying it on yesterday but came away thinking that I'd get a lot more wear out of a stainless steel version. Do you think we'll see a modern steel Calatrava?

Charm of Pepsi
Well despite my new D-Blue and current BLNR, I am finding my 16710 Pepsi more and more timeless and enjoyable to wear.Yes it's not as high tech as the other models, but I'm starting to like this old Pepsi more and more every time i wear it.
