Casio Raises The Bar Again With Tough Recalibrating Radio Controlled Movement Using LED Precision System
Never say that there is something wrong with the watches coming from Japan. There may be a ton of them, lots of them may be ugly or forgettable, but most of today's useful watch innovation is coming from the land of the rising sun, not Europe. While the Swiss and Germans are focused on perfecting the past, the Japanese are hard at work figuring out the next way to not only improve, but lower the cost of technically superior watches. While the Japanese cannot beat the Europeans when it comes to style, grace, and refinement, they do beat them when it comes to innovation. And trust me, the European watch makers are always taking a close look at what new things are coming out of Japan, even if it does not appear as such. For instance, Casio was one of the first to use DLC (diamond like carbon) coating on their MR-G line of watches. The ultra hard shiny compound found its way on super rugged Casio watches. Once Liquid Metal becomes standard, How will the Limited Edition be different?
Admittedly I'm becoming obsessed with this watch -I can't wait till I get one so that I can quickly lose interest in it!But I was wondering what you guys think...I think that it is a given that after Basel 2011 all PO's will have the Liquid metal Bezel/dial..So, how will the 1948 limited editions be different? The red SEAMASTER?THE dial itself?the Words 'limited edition?or will you have to pull out the box and papers to show that it's one of the limited?
How flexible are Nautilus bracelets?
I'm looking a couple of Nautilus models and wondering how flexible the bracelets are?Do they wear and sit on the wrist similar to the AP RO bracelet where due to the tighter integrated design of the links there is only so much flex and movement of the links at the ends near the lugs, i.e. it will only form a curve to a certain size/degree? This would be as opposed to say an Oyster bracelet which has full range of movement between each link if you see what I mean. Are there any smaller wristed folks out there who can comment on how the Nautilus bracelet fits them? Thanks :)
Paul Newman Daytona auction
I recently watched the $18 mil auction video. I was wondering why would a person bid $10mil right at the start (I'm sure insanely rich people don't way to pay alot for an item). Do auctioneers/sellers actually shill their items?
