Squale x Page&Cooper Vintage Master Review
Occasionally, things come together in a product, like stars aligning, that elevate it above and beyond what is expected. When Jonathan of Page&Cooper told me he was working on a collaboration with Squale, during a conversation that took place at Basel 2013, I was immediately intrigued. It's always interesting when a retailer and brand work together to create something different, as they tend to take more risks, but they don't always turn out for the best. Knowing Page&Cooper, which is a model of what internet based watch retailers should be, as well as Squale, a brand everyone should know (for a succinct history, check out our review of their 50 Atmos model), I had a strong feeling these would not just be successful, they'd be exceptional.Sample CaptionSlowly details dripped in on the watch and my excitement grew regularly until the great reveal. 25th Anniversary of the ROO
Place your bets, what do we think AP will do, if anything, for the 25th anniversary of the ROO? Due to my poor imagination I can't see them doing anything other than a limited edition colourway with different materials etc... Would love to hear your thoughts!
Tom Brady and AP Panda in a commercial
Saw this new UGGs commercial on the NFL channel today. It has Tom Brady playing imaginary football in an airport. I had to replay it a few times to see it because it was a very quick shot of it. Did anyone else see it? I will try to post photo later.
Best Chronograph: Speedmaster v. SMP (non-Bond w Sword Hands)
Looking next for a 3 dial chronograph to round out my collection.Lots of Speedmaster info on TRF and is seems like a very good choice. I have tried it on and like the fit and feel.I do like the look of the old style SMP though (I have the 2254.50 and love it).Any advice on the better choice (with reasons) would be appreciated. Also, if you have an alternative chronograph to suggest (it doesn't have to be an Omega) then please do. Pictures would help if possible. I already know about the Daytona (and like it) but it is more than I want to pay right now so I am looking at the under $5K watches. Many thanks.
PAM 372 Strap
Hi, all.I am a first time poster looking for some info. I have wanted a Panerai since first seeing one in the 90's/early 2000's. I bought my first real watch 10 years ago, Rolex Sub, and am now ready to purchase another for my 40th b-day. I am drawn to the 112 and 372, but am leaning toward the 372. One thing is I really do not like the strap offered on the new models. I absolutely love the darker brown strap that was offered on the early models. Is it possible to still buy that strap from Panerai or do they only make them for the watch and discontinue after they move to a new strap offering. I do see that there are many after market straps that are awesome, but I would like to have the original from Panerai.I appreciate any response!
