Easy Looking At The Easy Diver, Dive Watch Series By Roger Dubuis
On a few instances I have dedicated discussion to the world of luxury diving watches. To some, it seems a contradiction, why imbue a tool meant to be exposed to harsh elements with a luxury facade? To others, it seems like the perfect combination of things they love. I fall into this latter category. The seminal luxury diving watch was the Rolex Submariner. Since them, many have come in to market and have succeeded Rolex at it's own game in many areas.Today the object of my affection are the mostly beautiful watches in the Roger Dubuis Easy Diver line. The name is probably taken from "Easy Rider," and evokes a spirit of confident yet calm entrance into the elements. The watch doesn't "prepare" for diving, it simply does without notice while minding itself and focusing on other matters such as remaining shiny and full of class. The shape of the Easy Diver case is very unique in my opinion. The flared edges near the lugs present a visual attraction that is difficult to explain. Seeing it
RG 44 dining at The Ritz
We've had some talk that the 44 ROOs can't easily be worn with a suit so I thought I'd wear my RG to the fanciest of dinners; Puttin' on the Ritz. It fit just fine under a normal shirt and suit and I completely forgot I was wearing the watch the entire time. However this was part due to the most wonderful dining experience. The dining room is majestic and makes you feel like a prince, but then the glorious food and impeccable and friendly service had me elevated to feeling like a king. I also ordered a dish off the menu, my favourite, and they made it specially for me and even with no supplementary charge. It was a Tournedos Rossini, a filet steak topped with foie gras and black truffles. It happened to be the fave of the sommelier too, word had got around of my special order, and he was so excited to see it he actually brought my dish out and removed the cloche himself to present it to me. I should have offered him a bite but luckily he had drinks to pour elsewhere Other highlights i

WG Pepsi or 5164a for travel?
If you can have one travel time/ gmt watch which one will you get? They're about the same price. My issue with 5164a is I live in a tropical country. When I travel to other colder countries, the 5164a becomes loose. Rolex solved this with their easy link bracelet. I love the slealthiness of my 5164a but I also like wearing my watches tight. Don't like it dangling like a bracelet. If I cut one more rubber, it'll be too tight where I live. Thoughts? Suggestions?
LVC flip for Daytona C?
I purchased the LVC last spring from my AD. Yesterday I asked about a wait time for a white Daytona and was told that she would push me up on the list and would be looking at a very quick turn around time. I can't have both so the LVC would have to go. Looking to get a consensus...I have not seen a ceramic Daytona in person. My dad has an older Zenith Daytona that I love the look and feel of. Thanks in advanced!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
