Leatherman Tread Watch With Tool Bracelet
The American company Leatherman - known for their very useful folding multi-tools - will soon release a tool-bracelet known as the Tread. The Leatherman Tread will have 11 interchangeable links that each have a few tools such as screwdriver heads of various styles and sizes. Leatherman will offer the Tread as just a bracelet or make it available with an optional watch case - making the Tread a full-fledged timepiece.According to Leatherman, the Leatherman Tread watch will have a total of 25 tools - and the integration of all the tools is rather clever, I must say. Each link, for example, has two tools on either side such as a screw head or a small cutting instrument. The center of the link might be used to unscrew various bolts. It appears as though most of the tools can be used without dissembling the Leatherman Tread merely by taking the bracelet off and folding the links to expose a tool. How comfortable the Leatherman Tread watch will be is another matter. Leatherman has mentioned t
Power reserve issue ?
My newly bought FC 44mm is losing time when not worn. Wound it 40 times and wear it for a day it keeps time perfectly however when I left it for the bed it has lost 15 minutes in approximately 8 hours. Should I bring it to be serviced ?I read somewhere there are power reserve issue with some ROO. My previous 42mm ROO runs perfectly. Any experiences with the same issue ? Thank you
New Arrival - SOH 46
Went back and forth between 42 and 46, blue or black bezel, white or black dial, etc. Stopped by an AD and tried on several. Settled on black/black 46. Blue/blue and blue/white were definitely more striking looking, but I felt like they'd get tiresome to look at after some time went by...and another flip would occur. Black/black just seems easy on the eyes, not as flashy and more likely to become a permanent stable mate.Largest watch I've ever worn (7.25 wrist), but once strapped on, for some reason it looked better to my eye than the 42mm version. That 24mm bracelet is a bit flashy, but I'm going to give it some wrist time before trying other straps...although I have two on order. Very comfortable considering size. Build quality is second to none and being only 13mm thick I suspect it will see wrist time for business and pleasure. Here she is (crappy I-phone pic):
Rory McIlroy Omega
I was watching the final round of the PGA yesterday and they had an Omega ad with Rory McIlroy in it a couple times. I'm new to the Omega scene, but I really liked the watch they showed (pictured below). Can anyone tell me more about this model, good or bad, and give me an idea of the cost? Thanks in advance
The 5070. What metal to buy?
OK Gentlemen let me give some context to the question.I'd like two answers from you all if you will: :) Part 1: Which metal is the most beautiful?- Ignore price considerations please. That's not the point.- Think only about the beauty of the dial and the case - which metal accentuates/loses this the most?- Which metal does the configuration of the watch the most justice?- In which metal do you think they put the most work/effort into the dial?Part 2: Which can be worn best casually with a polo shirt? However, please consider that I'm dark skinned and can pull off yellow gold without it looking too formal.AND - you have the option to change strap colour to whatever you want too. Please help!RegardsMB
