Laco Squad 1,000 Meter Dive Watch
Is this going to be your next Teutonic-otastic dive watch? It just might be. New from flies-under-the-radar Laco comes the Squad 1,000 Meter dive watch collection. Looks like a few other German "pro" watches? Well that is because Laco is German. The Squad 1000 Meter joins the ranks of pieces from brands such as Sinn and Tutima, with elements from scores of other brands. While the Squad 1000 certainly doesn't score high on the originality scale, it is a great composition of known styles and features that people want and love. There are two versions of the Squad 1000. The standard Squad 1000 Meter Automatic in sandblasted matte steel, and the Squad 1000 Meter Black Automaticdone in PVD black. The case is 45mm wide with off-centered lefty crown located at 10 o'clock. The design of the case along with the dial reminds me a lot of the Fortis B-42 MarineMaster. Whether or not Laco used that Fortis as inspiration is unclear, but the similarities are uncanny. The dial is good looking and very e
15300 White, Blue or Black
Hello AllNow that I've had the pleasure of owning and wearing my AP Panda I'm already shopping for number two. So that brings me to my next question. I'm thinking of going with the 15300 but wanted some feedback on the dial color and preference from the AP public. Do you prefer white, blue or black. Pics always welcome. Thanks in advance.
Which Planet Ocean Chrono looks better ?
The new one or the old version ? Do they look very different ?Besides quality of movement, which one do you prefer ?Photos are borrowed:
Patek Saturday
Was hanging around the house today with some time to kill, and realized I had six of my PP out of the safe deposit box at the same time (and realized I better get some back to the bank Monday morning).... so I thought why not a group pic?025 by , on Flickr027 by , on Flickr028 by , on Flickr
Some insight please
Didnt want to hijack the 5726 vs 5711 thread but it is somewhat close to what I am considering for my next purchase. This will be my first foray into PP, having owned Rolex, AP, IWC and Tag. I have narrowed it down to the 5711 and 5167 (SS bracelet not the tropical), they both have the same movement, similar case diameter, differences of course the design, tapestry of the dial (love both as they are unique in their own nature), am I missing something else?If you were in the market for a sportier watch (which could be dressed up) which would you buy as your first. (Unfortunately the AD here does not have either watches except for the 5164 so have not really been able to compare side by side in person)Thanks in advance.
