Just in Time for the 500: TW Steel Launches Dario Franchitti Edition
Based on TW Steel's TECH design, the Dario Franchitti Edition was produced in collaboration with the two-time IndyCar Series Champion and 2007 Indianapolis 500 winner. The watch features blue, green and red highlights – Franchitti's helmet colors, reflecting the Scottish and Italian flags that symbolize his heritage. The red 10 represents Franchitti’s number during his 2009 IndyCar season and the green 2 and 7 represent the number 27 he wore during his 2007 Indy 500 win. Franchitti’s name appears in blue on the tachymeter ring while his logo, signature and title successes feature on the case-back.TW Steel celebrated the launch during qualifying weekend with a cocktail event in Indianapolis, where guests mingled with Franchitti, IndyCar star Scott Dixon, and IndyCar legend Arie Luyendyk. The watch is offered in 45mm and 48mm sizes and it will be available in mid-July with suggested retail prices of $850 (45mm) and $895 (48mm). RSW Moonflower Watch for Women 2009
Wow. Just check this out - the RSW Moonflower for Women.Powerful imagery to say the least. I love that this is a brand that is taking definite risks with a design like this - which has earned my respect, and I'm sure the respect of many more.Rama Swiss Watch, the geniuses behind the Moonflower, has grown out of need for truly unique, avant-garde pieces. Giving the manufacturing expertise of the founders, their success is sure to be guaranteed. Compare this with the fashion-forward designs and distributions, the RSW Moonflower stands alone. So, let's take the obvious. Moon. Flower. Can you see them both? Together? Not at firstbut, like those allusions, this watch offers so much more. And it's not a traditional look at all - period. For women's watches - this is a whole different game. It's definitely kind of ugly. The bumpy facade of the titanium dial is a little off-putting at first. It's a stretch for a moon - and a stretch for a flowerBut then - you gaze into the open face An
Newbie questions on AP ROO Panda strap
Hi All,Forgive my ignorance - and perhaps some of you might just reply with a Here we go again :D- How do you clean leather (hornback???) strap? The AD sold me a spray polish but i presume this only works for the metal bits?- I found the clasp/buckle rather difficult to take off. I need to pull the clasp quite hard if i want to take the watch off (much harder at least compared to a Rolex strap - for example). Is this normal?
2254 bezel question...
...I have a 2254.50 and my bezel appears to not be clicking as loudly as it used to and it seems to turn with a lot less force, in fact next to no force at all....is it a common fault?....what's happened?....anyone know?....can I fettle it myself or is it a service job?
Does Patek make a half-link for their bracelets?
I am in between links on my Aquanaut 5167 1/A and keep forgetting to ask my AD when I make my monthly visit...thought I would ask the real experts. Please let me know if anyone has any experience with the possibility of a half-link...thank you!!
