SIHH 2016 Preview: H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept
Schaffhausen-based boutique watch brand H. Moser & Cie. exhibits at Geneva’s SIHH watch fair for the first time in January, and for its inaugural appearance it will be launching a very exclusive new timepiece: the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept, an even more minimalist version of its award-winning perpetual calendar watch in a white gold case and limited to just 10 pieces worldwide. For many horological aficionados, this cult-favorite Swiss brand put itself on the map in 2006, when its original H. Moser & Cie Perpetual Calendar, unveiled in 2005, won the Complicated Watch Award at the Geneva Grand Prix. Its revolutionary, streamlined design with the 12 hour indices used to indicate both the hours and, by means of a small pointer hand, the months of the year; an understated date window at 3 o’clock; and a power-reserve indicator at 9 o’clock the watch became a collectors’ favorite and has been reinterpreted by Moser in several versions in the yea

Hands-On: The Patek Philippe Reference 5930G World Time Chronograph (Live Pics + Thoughts)
Patek Philippe's biggest announcement at Baselworld 2016 was a new world time chronograph: the reference 5930. We had a chance to spend some time with it in the hand, and on the wrist, and we've formulated some first impressions of this new flagship complicated watch from one of the world's most famous, and most intensely scrutinized, luxury watch companies. 1 OF 7 We've already talked a bit about the history of the movement in the new reference 5930, so we'll just recap briefly: the base caliber is the self-winding chronograph caliber CH 28-520, which was first used by Patek Philippe in the annual calendar chronograph 5960P (P for platinum) in 2006. This was Patek's first ever in-house self-winding chronograph, and the base movement, according to Patek, is 33 mm x 4.9 mm (that is, the chronograph mechanism alone, absent the annual calendar plate). The addition of the world time complication module in the 5930 brings the total thickness of the move

After many months of looking, pulled the trigger on a GMT Master 116710
I am a new member here. I have been a Tag owner for years and have always wanted a Rolex. After I found this forum and months of reading post at night regarding different watches, I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. I was torn between the GMT Master II and Explorer II. After reading and realizing that I couldn't go wrong with either, I decided to start with the GMT and would buy the Explorer later in the year. I had the pleasure of dealing with Micf3e and he is an awesome seller. He was very patient with my questions and explained everything I asked. He is for sure good to go and will stay in touch and will be buying from him in the future!!!
