Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Regulateur Roue Carree Watch
I am talking about this watch because people are going to notice it and wonder, "what is going on here?" Well nothing really fancy to be honest, aside from some engineering gear fun. While the concept of a clover and square shaped gear might be odd, it works. You can see in the video exactly how if you aren't too mechanically minded. Maurice Lacroix talks about the watch as though they just invented a time machine - but luxury brands are all about hyperbole, so I can forgive them (to an extent). Ahem, have a listen: "Maurice Lacroix has chosen its flagship Masterpiece line to open a new dimension in watchmaking" (I giggle and snicker). "This is a response to the brand's ambition to take design and the mastery of watchmaking even further." WowOK Maurice Lacroix all this for a few gears? I mean the watch is neat looking, but it doesn't really offer a dynamic change to the game.Movement is a Maurice Lacroix made ML 153 manually wound movement which is in-house made. It has 48 hours of pow
Omega Planet Ocean Question
Hello all, Has anyone had any experience with poor quality control from Omega or just me. I have a Omega PO that I thought the bezel didn't line up but as it turned out the hole for the stim & crown was drilled 4 degrees off. I know that because the Omega service center in clearwater FL descovered it. so the dial & the bezel are not centered. And no Omega is not going to repair it even though they admitted it somehow shipped through QC. See pic's below. Thanks,Gary
Great watch, Great view, Great time
It's too good to be left unshared.Photos are taken in Bali, I haven't been there for around 10 years, but oh boy the new places are mind blowingEnjoy!
The Officine Panerai Logo..the True meaning by Eng. Mario Paci
The Logo OP represents the stylised beginning letters O and P of Officine Panerai name, but not only.Do you know which is the meaning of the two arrows, one towards up and one toward down? It’s very simple and intuitive. Officine Panerai, since the origins and up today, has been always specialist in manufacturing underwater products and landing aid systems. The firsts (wrist watches, compasses, depth-meters, tank level probes, mechanical timers for underwater mines and many others) were used under the sea.The seconds (Deck landing systems, Helipad lighting systems, Portable landing systems) were used on surface, for those arriving from the sky.The meaning of the two arrows: the one toward down shows the underwater products, the one toward up shows the products for who arrives from the sky.The OP Logo was born at the beginning of years ’80, designed by an Architectural Office of Florence and, in the first drafts, had a rounded form; Eng. Zei (CEO of Offcine Panerai since 1972
DJII. Love it or hate it
New to the Rolex world and was scanning the FS threads. I saw a DJ II ref 116300 rhodium dial with blue arabics. I thought it was a real eye catcher. I started to do some digging vs the DJ 41. There were alot of comments that it was a Rolex failure, that it was a dog in the line up etc. Why all the hate? Please enlighten me.
