Suggestions on a sports watch
I'm sure what the answer will be from most, but I'll ask anyway. I have always liked collecting watches, and was buying Tag and Hamilton level stuff. I just made the jump to a DJII, and now want a new weekend sports watch to compliment it. Long story short is I love the Breitling Superocean 42 and the Explorer II. With that said after just buying my first Rolex my budget is a little shot. I know very little about Breitling watches, but is the Superocean a good fill in until I can get an Explorer II down the road?(most likely several years).
Just a cool lume shot
Love this watch.
5146G - Cream or Slate
So it's time for my next Patek. I have decided on the 5146G but I can't decide on the dial - cream or slate. I have only seen the slate in person and it's a beautiful color, pretty unique. I know, I know, many will say it's the Daytona or the Day-Date or this or that. But in my opinion it's the Submariner, the watch used by James Bond. Also, in my experience, every time I mention the Rolex name in some casual conversation to someone not into watches is the image of the Submariner that comes to mind. So, for the simple fact that, in my opinion, being the Submariner the classic Rolex watch, this makes it the most iconic watch in the world, or at least quite high at the top. It is the archetype of the watches. It can be used for all activities, from the deepest dives to the black tie dinners. Just look at this ad:So where does smurf come in at all?In my opinion, the Smurf is the submariner for the WIS. The fact that it is in white gold and the blue dial and b
