Official 24: Live Another Day Wrist Watch From Show Will Be Available Soon
This isn't just the official timepiece for 24: Live Another Day, but a watch that will be featured in the show, as well as one that people will be able to buy starting in the summer of 2014. What makes the 24: Live Another Day CTU watch interesting is that Fox Studios commissioned a totally original item and it isn't from a major brand. This makes a lot of sense for a television series so involved in tracking time, and it is cool to see the producers engage in such efforts. In fact, if you haven't watched 24 before, you should know that each season is designed to more or less track the events of a single day in real-time.24: Live Another Day will debut tomorrow May 5, 2014 on FOX and is technically the 9th or 10th season of the show, even though it comes after season 8 and is not considered a season with a numerical value. There are eight official seasons of the show starting in 2001 as well as 24: Redemption from 2008 and 24: Live Another Day from 2014 that comes four years after seas
Rubberclad on a bracelet ??
I have a black dialed Rubberclad and am toying with the idea of throwing it on an AP bracelet. Has anyone done this ? How did it look ? Or would this just be plain wrong ?
Please Help - Torn between a good deal and concerns about authenticity
Hi Folks,I'm considering pulling the trigger on a Jules Audemars date and power reserve model 25955BC.OO.D002CR.01, NOS, from a 'reputable' grey market jeweler. The rub is that it comes with Box, but no papers (bought as part of a large block of watches, and somehow misplaced the papers). It does however come with a 2 year - grey market - warranty, a - short - return period (not long enough to send to Florida for ID), and a rather attractive price (~55% off original list). I also like the watch, and it's no longer easily available (I would actually prefer the simpler small seconds with no extra dials version even better, but that is also very hard to get these days, it would appear, and i could not locate one at a good price from even as reliable a dealer as this - found one in Taiwan that only accepts wire transfers (!) :-(). My question is three-fold: 1. Is this an authentic piece - as far as you experts can tell from the attached pictures. Note in particular the 750 etc markings
Nautilus 5711/A/011 or Vintage Daytona Big Red 6263?
New to Patek because I've always considered it way out of my league. For my next purchase I have been patiently waiting for a mintVintage Daytona Big Red 6263 (Black Dial w/White Subdials) to come available although the White faced Nautilus 5711/A/011 has certainly caught my eye from pics I've seen online. I realize these are two totally different watches but unfortunately can't have them both. If you could only have one, which would you choose? Is this Nautilus available to purchase yet and do you guys see a huge demand for this particular model? Thanks,Mike G.
So my wife comes up with this great idea.......
My wife and I will have 2 kids in college come August. This is about to get a little tough. So, we've been discussing ways to cut back a fair amount to prepare. I was thinking cancelling a couple of unused gym memberships or dropping Netflix. She, however, had another plan(s).1) Sell a couple of those expensive watches I never wear. She referring to a Speedmaster, Milgauss, and my white Daytona C. She then says those 3 combined should be around 10k. YEAH RIGHT!!!! I could go ahead and keep my GMT bc it an all around watch.2) Sell my Porsche Boxster and just keep my Tundra OR trade in both for a nice SUV maybe an Grand Cherokee or something.I looked at her a moment and realized she was actually serious. I then had two options- committ her to an insane asylum OR explain to her that her brain storming session was not going in the right direction and that some student loan debt might build some character (just kiddin, kinda) Just had to share this humorous moment with my TRF bros....
