Victorinox Swiss Army Alpnach Black Ice Chronograph Watch
This is the newest watch from Victorinox Swiss Army, but I am not sure I recognize it as a Swiss Army watch. Over the last few years Swiss Army watches have been changing a lot. Not only in style, but also in terms of the types of watches they are offering. I mostly think of them as offering really nice quartz watches that are a great value for $300 -$500 bucks. But this Alpnach Black Ice Chronograph is a mechanical watch for close to 2,000 Euros. Does it make sense?The trend at the brand has been "mechanical mechanical!" for a good set of years now. I don't mind more mechanical offerings from Swiss Army, but I sure hope that doesn't mean they are fully abandoning their quartz watch base. Good news comes from pieces like the "new" Swiss Army Original watch that offer a strong look and Swiss quartz movement for an entry level price of around $300. AP boutique charges $200 to ship to APSC
So my watch (<1 year old, still under warranty) was losing about 25 seconds per day, and it was driving me nuts. I stopped by the AP boutique in Beverly Hills, CA to have it sent in for adjustment. The sales associate informed me there was a $200 shipping charge (round trip) to have it overnight Fedex'd to Clearwater, FL. I'm trying to figure out if that's a normal charge? Given the watch is under warranty, I would have thought the $200 shipping charge is something AP would absorb. Thoughts?

Left Rolex for Breitling, and couldn't be happier
Hey guys, just a follow up from an earlier thread I posted. I received my superocean steelfish this week. I'm a permanent Breitling convert. I was first of all taken care of more than fairly by Bernard Watch Co. I received a new in box w/ papers blue dial superocean steelfish the day after they received my subdate. I needed to get the bracelet sized so stopped by the AD and he confirmed the watch was produced on 03/10 and was within cosc specs. I also received $895.00 with it for the difference in values from Bernard Watch. I love my new watch. I do miss the subdate, but I am content that I made the right decision. For anyone on the fence about breitling I say go for it. Unfortunately my iPhone doesn't give me the option to post pics. Thanks to those of you who encouraged me to take the leap.

Should I sell my 5167?
Thinking about selling my 5167I love my 5167 but I am not giving it the wrist time it needs.. I am wondering if I should sell it. I just bought a new home and had my first baby so the extra money will help.. I am torn what should I do?Btw if I do sell I am giving 1/2 the Money to my wife and the other half to invest in the mj stock sector so I can buy another one in the future..
