Watches NEWS
DIVER (strap) INCOMING!!! ;)
I've obviously got AP fever, so thanks everyone for bearing with my questions and incessant thread starting.I'm super excited about this incoming strap though. Thanks to the many members who gave great advice and info, in not only acquiring this strap but also the watch. With the addition of this strap, my Royal Oak Offshore Grey Themes became the configured watch I always wanted, with even more of my favorite color... of course, grey. Here are the pics...
Will you look down your noses at me???
My first post on the AP forum, and based on my first comment maybe my last, there, all legal disclaimers listed up front. I know AP is one of the absolute top rank watch brands. So naturally one should be on my purchase plan to round out my humble collection. Now for the disclaimer, unlike EVERYBODY I am sure on this AP forum I just don't like the signature OAK style AP watches, but I understand why others do.As a result I am drawn to some of the vintage AP watches including some of the moonphase styles, the old slim line gold watches, but I also like the basic and plain Millenary in SS with a leather band. Will I be looked down on by the big hitters with their 6 digit big ticket platinum OAK's if I start with the humblest of the breed.... In truth is there anything I should know as a watchout on these basic AP's I am assuming they are still made with a AP automatic movement and that they should be reliable and dependable. All of my watches tend to be on the plain side of the brands. Ev
Super Jubilee on BLNR
When I see this combo I honestly think it's gorgeous. Takes the BLNR to a whole new level. Photo courtesy of Loevhagen. Three questions. Can this bracelet be purchased in the US apart from the watch? How much? Does it fit exactly as it should or is there improper spacing between the lugs? Thanks.
BLNR or 2006 16710
I am considering to flip my 2006 16710 with coke insert to a 2017 116710BLNR. Would you do it and why/ why not? Both will be on the super jubilee bracelet...Vs
Would you fix this?
I accidentally dropped my datejust on a tile floor and now there is a small dent on the lug. It's devastating to me and luckily the crystal didn't crack and the watch is still working fine. I know there's a watchmaker in melbourne that can laser weld it with good reputation. Would you fix it or just leave it? I can live with scratches but a dent on a 3 months old watch is bothering me a lot. You can see the dent as the part that reflects light on the lug. When you get it laser welded, I suppose you would need to remove the movement from the case in which would void the 5 years warranty?
