Watch was given to my grandfather by his company for his long years of service and was his daily beater. He handed it down to me last year and by then the watch crystal was badly scratched, the minute hand was loose and the movement was in a rather bad shape from lack of service.Sent it back to Bienne and after a 6 month long wait I'm rather pleased with the result
Patek 5575 Auction Prices
See the prices are slowly coming down. Sotheby's auction at the price at around $130 000 including buyers premium in April 2015 and Aniquorum just sold in December for just under $100 000. Not sure what the sellers premiums are but I guess the sellers would clear around $72 000. That's roughly a 50% flip! Come on PP make us a non 175 Anniversary in 5575 so us mere mortals have a chance of wearing one!
Patek Museum / Store Geneva Feedback
Hi all,We have an opportunity to visit Geneva for a day in a few weeks while on a European vacation. It's not in our agenda and will involve a fly in/out on the same day. So my questions are: is it worth it? Does the store have a huge variety (ie a blue 5711?)? Are watches a good buy in Switzerland? Thanks in advance!!
