IN THE SHOP: Eleven New Vintage Watches For Sale, Including A Mint, Full-Set Red Sub, A Grail Amongs
And we're back! Yes, after dropping 12 vintage watches last Wednesday (of which 10 have already sold) we've decided to keep the hits coming with 11 new additions to the H Shop. This time we've found a few blue-chips, as always, like the most amazing Red Submariner you will ever see (complete with every accessory you can ever ask for), the insanely rare and highly sought after solid-gold Heuer Carrera from 1960s (find another, we dare you), and more. Have a glance below for some details and check them all out right here in the HODINKEE Shop. 1970s Red Submariner With Full Boxes, Papers, Hang Tags, And More 1 OF 10 For years, the Red Submariner has been atop the kingdom of non-gilt-dial Submariners, and it has always been a fan-favorite among vintage watch lovers for its single line of red text and immensely useful date window. Incoming GMT... Again...
I've owned this watch twice now. Maybe I'll learn someday.
What a nice morning at my AD but now more than confused.
Oh god.Had to pickup my AP from the AD as it was back from service I planned a little visit to the PP dealer just across the street as I was trying to decide on 5167, 5711 or 5712. I booked an appointment yesterday with the AD.Granted with the usual espresso, and the service is top as always, even if I haven't made any purchase yet, every visit has been a pure enjoyment.Lucky to find both in stock a 5712 and a 5167. Tried the Aquanaut, what a nice watch, comfortable and light. Didn't warmed up as much as I expected with the dial. Then the 5712, WOW, the dial on the Nautilus is mesmerizing to say the least. Now I am torn and not just a little. I am trying to make up my mind between the 5711 and 5712. I didn't expected the 5712 to feel so nice and balanced even with it's unconventional dial disposition. Before leaving, the AD asked me to wait a bit, to my surprise, she came back with this beautiful Basel 2014 new watches portfolio and this magnificent book still unwrapped. Now I can i
Tuttonero - PAM 438
With the help of a great trf member I have just traded to get this watch in my collection. I have owned the 441 before and loved it, but the 438 is a totally different animal with amazing wrist presence. I'd love to hear what everyone thinks of this model as it's rarely discussed.I'll add in hand pics over the weekend! Dan
