The watch sold for an astounding $52,500, five times its pre-sale estimate and a world record for that reference.Elvis’s Omega, a rare, black-dialed Constellation Calendar produced around 1960, was the most high-profile of 269 timepieces on the block at Antiquorum’s “Important Vintage and Modern Timepieces” auction, held at its Manhattan headquarters on June 12. The watch has an automatic chronometer movement with center seconds and date and a steel case with rose-gold plating. 5980 SS on a Strap
Has anyone tried fitting their 5980 SS watch with a strap? I am curious to know how that went. I am really interested in this piece if the strap was an option with the SS version ala 5726A, be it custom. I like the Rose gold that Patek has out but I am not a rose gold person.

Random question here. Anyone know what the limitations are to making a cyclops crystal for Rolexes from one solid piece of sapphire crystal.
