Ashfordwatches-dealer was one of the first online watch retailers back in the mid 1990s, 199 7 to be exact. I recall sometime back then first learning about Ashfordwatches-dealer which had a strong impact on my love for watches. For the first time, you could digitally browse a catalog of watches, many of which most people had never even seen before. Ashford was a pioneer in high quality images, so watches could be viewed with remarkable clarity (for the time of course). Back then, such images took incredibly long to download with the available dial-up modems. I distinctly recall waiting long minutes for images of watches I so wanted to own appear on my screen. With the past behind us, Ashfordwatches-dealer is still around, and offers more watch brands than ever before. Ashfordwatches-dealer is also an authorized dealer of most watch brands it carries which ensures valid warranties and purchasing security. Price wise, Ashfordwatches-dealer remains competitive with similar outfits and pri
Any recommendations for Edinburgh please?
I will be visiting Edinburgh soon and would like to ask for some recommendations of places to check out AP, PP, Rolex and possible shops selling pre-owned and other interesting watches. Thanks
Oh no, I didn't...
just pull the trigger on yet another AP! Well, this is a special one in many people's hearts whether they are fortunate enough to own it or not... Can you guess? I'll give you a few hints:1) came out awhile back2) sickest AP ROO with an elegant yet stylish design and I think no ROO has been able to top it YET... (My own humble opinion of course)3) they are somewhat of a rare commodity these days!pictures to follow once I receive it... What a month it has been for me in terms of AP love! I think I'm done with AP collecting! =p
Patek Rose Gold Tone
Greetings, gentlemenI am in the process of reorganizing my humble collection, moving pieces I don't really wear that much and adding ones I would love and wear few days at a time on a weekly basis. In doing so, I noticed that the tone of Rose Gold is different for different brands. I really like my patek's RG tone, but not the watch itself, which I'll be moving. I'll have to replace it with something else as I would love to still have a RG watch in rotation. so, the question is... Has anyone ever compile a tone comparison of RG? In your experience, is there any other brands/manufacturers has similar RG tone as Patek and/or how are they different in tone? (for example, compared to rolex/AP/JLC/etc.) If there is such a reference, it would make the decision for many collectors looking into Rose Gold watches easier. To start off, I know that the tone of Patek's RG is warmer than that of ALS', which is just a tad more red than Patek's YG. I don't have a pic to show as I already let go of my
Doing it again: Horus Straps on PAM233
As a follow-up to my wonderful thread started way back when of putting a Rubber B on a PAM 233 (dot dial), I present to you this new PAM 233 of mine with a new rubber strap made by Horus Straps.Notes:1. No steel tubes used2. Retained new clasp3. Rubber is more flexible than Rubber B4. Colored pattern is only on top & sides of Horus, not underneath (it's not set all the way through the band)So far I'm liking it!
