Where Can I Buy?
Where can I buy a used AP for around 2-5 grand? Preferably a Royal Oak. Is there any trusted sellers on eBay? It would be my first ever watch, I am very excited.
Fair Market Value for this vintage Seamaster DeVille?
I was browsing the auctions and came across what I think is a beautiful vintage Seamaster. I'm wondering if the Omega experts here can suggest a FMV on this watch. Of course I pay 15% Buyer's Premium + dreaded 13% sales tax on this. I'm going to do my homework now and see if I can get any price discovery on this watch through past sales. There should be 4 rows of 5 watches at this page. It's the bottom row, 2nd from left. Let me know if this link isn't working for some reason.toronto.empireauctions/au...keywords=watch
New Member Intro - Vintage question
I introduced myself yesterday on the Rolex side, and figured I would do the same today for Omega. Name in Ted, 33 years old and live in San Diego, CA. Here is my collection... I seem to prefer vintage over new. I have acquired these 2 vintage Omega pieces, anything you can tell me about them would be helpful. I have tried to find info on them, or similar watches on the net, but haven't come up with too much. Thanks in advance for any info! Look forward to being able to contribute to this forum in the future.
Speedy Pro......yes it tells the date.
I am loving my newest, a 3570 speedy pro. I am also very forgetful when it comes to the date, so I usually buy watches that give the date. Well after learning that the speedy can tell the date, I was sold. I use the right sub dial to tell the date, so when winding the watch in the morning, I run the Tach for a minute until the hand on the right sub dial jumps one over. It is super easy to do and I actually love doing it. I really enjoy manual wind watches and this is just another trick that really makes me bond with the watch. I also find it super easy to read, with the marking at 10, 20 and 30, it just takes a quick glance to get the time and date. Honestly, this might just be my favorite watch I have ever owned. I heard that the speedy was special on the wrist, but I must say, super comfortable, super legible, just a amazing watch. Here is a couple of pics., as you can see, it's the 8th today. The ultimate chrono.
