Hands-On: With The Roger Dubuis La Mongasque, A Completely In-House Column-Wheel Chronograph With Poin?on De Geneve Certification
Though I try to?analyze watches from a purely objective standpoint, La Mongasque from Roger Dubuis made me consider the peculiar way that my perception of a watch can be partially influenced by the character of the person?wearing that watch. On the wrong individual, this watch in particular could be a disaster C a predictable paean to conspicuous consumption. But on the right person, perhaps someone driven by unique personal tastes that run against the status quo, La Mongasque would warrant a closer, but still critical look, that would reveal an unexpected amount of technical substance within. Poin?on de Geneve It's not the best sign, but when you log?on to the Roger Dubuis website, the first thing you hear C hear, not see C is deep house music. Granted, it sounds like expensive deep house, the type?you would hear at 2:00 a.m. while somewhat conscious in a booth at?Les Caves du Roy.Normally, this is an indication that a brand is much more about flash than substance, but
chronomat question
I put my chronomat on a winder when not on my wrist. After a few days on the winder, the watch stops. I manually wind the watch and then it starts working again. Does anyone have any suggestions and or recommendations as to what could be wrong. Thx
Pricing a used SuperOcean Steelfish X Plus help needed!
I bought a SuperOcean Steelfish X Plus and it came with the Prof 1 series bracelet on it 6 years ago. It is way to big for my wrist IMO. Great watch but just don't want it anymore as I went back to a Sub.My question is after looking they have been discontinued and a quick check of Ebay shows bids from $1200 to over 2K on them so I need to know what I should price mine at?I have all the boxes, paperwork, and links that were took off to fit my wrist.I bought the watch NIB from Authentic Watches. It has a dated and stamped warranty card however I now know this is considered a grey market watch and there will be no serial numbers that go with it. How much will that effect the value?Any help would be welcome. Thanks,James
