Girard-Perregaux 1966 Perpetual Calendar Watch
It is deceptively simple and pretty. I think I actually prefer Girard-Perregaux's use of minimalism over a brand like Vacheron Constantin. This is their 1966 Perpetual Calendar watch with an automatic in-house movement and also a moon phase indicator. A lovely thing in 18k white or rose gold. Don't be fooled by its demure looks, it still costs around $50,000.Read my full article on the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Perpetual Calendar watch here at Haute Living.
Characteristics of Vacheron Constantin Quai watch
Called to Constantin Quai de l'Ile, the watch is an improved version of the wharf of the island, will feature a retrograde annual calendar. The QRA 2460 Caliber is enclosed in a case of 43 mm pink or white gold. Equipped with an indication of the phase of the Moon, needs correction only one calendar once every 122 years.
Breitling B01 Movement
What do you think of the new B01 in-house movement? Is it a step in the right the direction for the watch company.
5196G enabling needed...
Been thinking of upgrading my 15400 to a 15202, and finally put it on the chopping block. But yesterday I started thinking that a 5196G would be a great alternative to the 15202, I know, they are different watches for different purposes, but still.I have been consolidating lately and have only a few watches (you can see in my signature what I have), I am missing a dress watch as you can see.So, I have time to decide while the 15400 sells, but I have always found the hunt to be a big part of the fun.Any comments and especially pics would be greatly appreciated.
I do miss those good ole days..
I sure do miss this classic JLC driven 45mm (perfect size) Pam 190 with ABP strap - what a combo!
