Need some Seamaster knowledge
My grandfather recently gave me a Seamaster. I do not have much information on this watch(no box/papers). I'd be greatful for some helpful knowledge from you guys!! :) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342686900.412871.jpg
Will a 5712/1R ever be a model?
So one of my favorite dial layouts of the Nautilus line is the 5712 and from looking back at how PP releases watches it seems like this model would be a candidate for a full bracelet in rose gold at some point. I'm rather new to following PP (3 years or so) but just by looking back it seems like they do eventually introduce models like this. The only thing that makes me wonder if they are staying away from producing it is how long this dial layout has been being made. What do you all think?BestsAlex
6917 (DJ) Question
My wife has expressed an interest in a watch. Issues is, what she likes (size/style) wise is (in my opinion) overpriced unless it's been redone by a jeweler with aftermarket dial/bezel. Question is: How terrible is to have a (ladies) watch with a non-factory dial/bezel? I understand the pitfalls of Rolex service and their policy on non-factory parts. But, beyond that? There are several to be had in the less than $3K range right now on Ebay (for instance). I have bought twice from sellers here but the ladies watches don't seem to be that popular for resale/gray market sales so not much luck there. It's between a DJ with aftermarket (diamond) bezel and MOP dial..... or a 29mm Yacthmaster which would come 100% complete and correct with all boxes/paperwork. The difference between the two price wise doesn't matter all that much to me. Thoughts?
Sky Dweller Blue with Blue Rubber Strap!
I was looking for the right rubber strap for SkyD Blue for long time to make SkyD become everyday watch. Finally end up with the waffle strap. Please see the photo. I am so excited to share this photo to every SkyD owner if you guys have the same matter. It is inexpensive strap but really match with SkyD.
Opinions on Ebay 1501 needed.
Thank you in advance for any comments or observations that can be made about the watch or any other part of the sale/presentation including the seller. sshah2010 I have been browsing for a birth year (1975) watch for a while and another TRF'ers recent acquisition got me to looking again. Not really wanting to pay the prices for subs or GMT's if the era. Had originally decided on some sort of DJ on a strap, maybe YG but flexible. This popped up on eBay and naturally I am going to do my due diligence. Looks really good to me but the date range 4,ooo,xxx seems off for a 1975 watch as advertised. Seems more 1973'ish??? But it appears to be complete and in wonderful shape and I am not sure it has ever been refinished?? Any and all questions and comments welcome. And again, thank you in advance for your opinions.
