At the end of July, I had the special pleasure of spending a couple hours with Roger Smith as he swooped into Los Angeles to deliver the commissioned and bespoke Big Date Tourbillon that had been four years in the making.I have a special interest in independent watchmakers and Roger Smith, who hails from England and still lives there�Cthe Isle of Man, to be specific�Chappens to be one of whom I'm particularly fond. Instead of lume...
Was out walking back from dinner tonight wondering how well I could see the lume on my 15300. Turned out I couldn't see the lume at all but the white/silver dial easily caught and reflected very low ambient light from just about any source. Who needs lume when the whole dial catches and reflects light?

Hello ladies and gents! I'm kinda new to luxury watches and have been bitten by the Panerai bug and have $4,500 I can spend on my first one. I've tried to do research and have been a little overwhelmed by all of the options, limited editions, etc.So mnow I'm asking for your advise. Which models do you like in my price range and why?
