Carl F. Bucherer Launches new Chrono Perpetual
Carl F. Bucherer’s new timepiece, introduced this week at the 2012 Baselworld watch fair, elegantly combines two of the most popular complications. The aptly named Chrono Perpetual uses an in-house movement, made at the brand’s atelier, to power both a chronograph and a perpetual calendar with moon-phase and leap year. Find wallpaper image inside.The watch's perpetual calendar has a correction-free date display at 12 o'clock, day-of-the-week display at 6 o'clock, month and leap year indication at 9 o'clock, and moon-phase at 3 o'clock. The chronograph has a flyback function and can be used with the tachymeter scale along the dial's periphery. All these functions are powered by a Vaucher movement, made exclusively for Carl F. Shinola Launches "Great Americans Series" With Wright Brothers Limited Edition Watch & Bicycle
Shinola has just announced (today) a new type of watch collection it calls the "Great American Series." The first model is The Wright Brothers Limited Edition, and more on that in a moment. The purpose of the Great American Series is to celebrate American inventors, innovators, and all-around important folks. It is a brilliant marketing concept and makes total sense coming from a brand that somehow was able to make it cool to have watches produced in Detroit based on the name of an old brand of shoe polish.In addition to two different versions of The Wright Brothers Limited Edition watch there will be a limited edition bicycle. ROO RC clasp options?
I just got a ROO RC Rose and I cant stand the clasp. Pretty uncomfortable, my IWC yacht club's rubber band and deployant is pretty amazing. I am currently using it at the first pin hole, the clasp sits on the side of my wrist. I already tried the flipping backwards technique, even though it helps a little, its still not as comfortable as I would like. The AD said its about 220 for a smaller rubber strap, has anyone tried this? Any alternatives? I like the OEM strap...

Omega's new Marketing "Master Chronometer" Grade
Anyone see that Omega is trying to trump COSC by adding 15,000 Gauss exposure to the COSC certification? They are calling it The World's First Master Chronometer grade..omegawatches/baselwor...n#!globemasterRolex just got out-marketed but I am not expecting anyone to consider this to be much of a consideration.The watches are beautiful as would be expected.
