Watches NEWS
The White Moonwatch is finally complete.
Took me a while to get the pieces to this beautiful project. 3573 with a (off) white dial / black hand mod. All on a black croc strap and a satin deployant. Call it a franken-Speedy--but I've been craving this look and it's finally complete. Couldn't be more pleased. Enjoy. I sincerely hope that you are listening, Mr. Stern.
There are two things that I would love to see Patek do in the future that I feel would be not only be good for the brand itself but also for watch lovers in general. First, would be to release a non-limited edition of the new 5522 without the New York engraving. This would make a wonderful watch available those not fortunate enough to obtain one of the originals while in no way detracting from the value and exclusivity of the limited-edition. And secondly, to make a steel version of the 5524. This would bring both of the Calatrava Pilots within reach of a wider audience and would perhaps tempt me away, at least for a while, from my Rolexes. Let me know what you think of my modest proposal.
new 5712r

Rose Gold Two Tone conundrum
Turning 60 in the fall and planning on semi retiring my 40 year old SS DJ. It is currently in for service, and will keep it around for doing the real risky stuff. Narrowed it down to the DJ41 with fluted bezel and Jubilee, or the YM40. Both in RG Two Tone and Chocolate Dial70:30 in favour of the YM with a minor concern that it may look goofy. I have no idea what size my wrist is and I have sailed all my life. Having worn a SS DJ 36 all my adult life this is a big departure. Any thoughts?Larry
Bracelet options UK based
I have a 15210 date. Bought and worn daily for 25 years. Great watch but oyster bracelet becoming worn. The watch obviously has limited value now. What options do I have to get the bracelet overhauled or replaced without buying new from Rolex?
