New Ressence Type 3 Watch With Oil Temperature Gauge
While the meaning of unique is so watered down that it challenges "in-house" for sheer over-use, I have trouble thinking of a more appropriate way to describe Ressence watches. I would be surprised if anyone reading this wasn't aware, at least visually, of their Ressence Type?1 and Type?3 models which, in living up to the brand's tag line, have evolved "beyond hands." Announced just ahead of Baselworld 2015, Ressence has reworked their Type?3 model to include a temperature gauge to monitor the oil that fills the upper case element.Much like the original Ressence Type?3, the new Type?3 is 44mm x 15mm in size with a three-part case that is essentially two sapphire domes mounted to a titanium spine. The spine also forms the lugs and can be had in matte or polished finish, each with a DLC coating. Thanks to an extensive use of titanium, the total weight of the new Ressence Type?3 is just 75g, mounted on a leather strap with a matching titanium buckle.The magic of the Ressence Type?3 design

Vintage Constellation?
Hi, guys. I've recently taken quite a shine to the 1950s-60s era Omegas. The size - 34mm or so - seems quite nice for modern-day wear on a smaller wrist. I've wanted a vintage watch for a long time and had been looking at Rolex Datejusts and Dates, but the vintage Omegas have such a neat look and can be had for considerably less than Rolex. At least, so it seems.Is it crazy to be especially intrigued with the Constellation because it has the cool observatory image on the back of the case? I just love that look. Even though it wouldn't show when being worn, it is such an elegant touch.I'm trying to learn more about these vintage pieces. Can anybody tell me more about them, pros and cons, and post pics if you have them? Any and all vintage Omegas - by all means share your knowledge!Thank you!PS - just found Desmond's blog. Black Dial Vs White Dial?

116618 with diamond dial
Anyone have one of these - 116618 diamond dial? I don't think they made too many of them. I know diamonds on a sub are not everyone's taste. Anyway...saw one for sale and it looked beautiful. I wondered everyone's thoughts in comparison to the sunburst dial. To those who have it how do you like it? Any regrets in not getting the sunburst dial? any wrist shots? Can you wear it daily? I am tempted to buy it. Thanks!
