Richard Mille Donates Rafael Nadal RM 027 to Only Watch Charity Auction
On September 22, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco will preside over the fourth Only Watch auction of exceptional watches. The proceeds of this event, organized by Antiquorum Auctioneers, will be used to fund research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. To support this worthy cause, Richard Mille has contributed a unique and symbolic watch to be offered during this charity auction. Launched in 2005 by Luc Pettavino, President of the Monegasque Association Against Muscular Dystrophies, Only Watch mobilizes the world's most prestigious watchmakers who donate unique and limited pieces to be auctioned during the Monaco Yacht Show. All proceeds are used to fund research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy, an extremely debilitating neuromuscular disease that affects one boy in every 3500.Having supported Only Watch from the beginning, Richard Mille wanted to donate one of its most emblematic creations to Only Watch 2011: the RM 027 tourbillon developed for and in collaboration with Rafael Nadal. What would you do? 5712 vs 5712R
Here is my situation. I have a deposit with my AD for a 5712 in SS. He was just informed that they will be getting only 2 (they usually get 4) for all of 2018. I was originally told that I would be getting one in 2018 but with them only getting 2 for the year he thinks that I may not now. He offered me the next 5712R they get with a 10% discount. It would be 39k+ after discounting which would make it the same price as a new SS 5712. I'm not sure I really want the 5712 on a strap but at this price I'm extremely tempted. There is still the chance I would get one of the two SS 5712. What should I do?
I really hate this pair....
I think they would be killer in any collection. What do you guys think?
Newbie with questions prior to purchase - 5711/1A / 5167A
Hello Patek aficionados,I have gradually migrated from Rolex discussion to this one after seeing great pictures of 5711 and 5167 by Puffy, dddreess, kilyung, brady, TimeOnHand and many others on this forum. I'm thinking it is time for me to acquire my first Patek . I have small collection of Rolexes - DeepSea and GMT IIc. I'm considering trading in the DS for something smaller and more understated. The three pieces that made the short list - PP 5711/1A, PP 5167A and AP 15400. As a lot of people here I have job where the watch can be scratched by the desk or my computer - nothing extreme. On the weekend we do a lot of family activities like skiing, ice skating, bike riding, swimming and such. I'm looking for watch that could do it all with me without needing to baby it.I have asked my wife for her opinion on the styles and she likes the 5167 best with 15400 closely second. I'm leaning towards 5711 for its timeless design. It is going to be my watch so the ultimate decision is with me. T

Quite a box Panerai provides for it's watches. Like a 10lb box for a 44mm watch, haha! Here it is... Awesome!!!
