Introducing: The Montblanc 1858 Collection
Montblanc has released four new watches as a part of their new Montblanc 1858 Collection: a single-button chronograph in pink gold, and and three versions of a stainless-steel watch with subsidiary seconds. The collection references the heritage of Minerva, which was originally founded in 1858 and purchased by Montblanc in 2006. Inspired by the chronographs made in the 1930s, this watch features a classic but modern 44 mm pink-gold case with rounded bezel. Introducing: The Montblanc TwinFly Chronograph 110 Years
In addition to the Montblanc TimeWalker ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph, Montblanc has released another chronograph as part of their 4810 Collection for 2016: The 4810 TwinFly Chronograph. Back in 2012, Montblanc released the first TwinFly and it was a major hit. This year’s TwinFly Chronograph features the flyback chronograph function, dual-time and 24-hour indication. 1 OF 2 The watch is rather large and is in a 43 mm steel case with rectangular chronograph pushers flanking the crown. The dial is silvered guilloché with applied red gold plated Roman numerals. The vertical subsidiary dials display the 24-hour indication (with a small world globe on the top) and the date on the bottom. The chronograph is indicated by the longer blued-steel, red-tipped hand and the second time zone is signified by the shorter skeletonized blued-steel hand. Nesbit's Service Experience
Just wanted to share on outstanding experience I had with Nesbit's Fine Watch Repair in Seattle, WA and to also pass along my sincere thanks to this forum for leading me to them and for your wisdom overall. I have a vintage Seamaster ref. 136 010 that was a gift from my Grandfather to my Father upon college graduation. The watch was in desperate need of service as the lube was completely dried out, the outer bezel fell off and was lost and it had an aftermarket band. The bezel piece is aesthetic only but I desperately wanted the watch to be as close to original as possible. I contacted Omega and they told me that they no longer produced the bezel piece and that there was nothing even their vintage shop could do. I literally contacted watchmakers all over the world trying to source a bezel, to no avail.Given the sentimentality of this piece, the thought of shipping it anywhere, let alone across the country was unsettling to say the least. 5164 for a small wrist
Smitten with the 5164A, but have yet to try one on. The only AD near me doesn't have it, nor a 5167 to try on for size. I'm worried I may be pushing the limits with my 6.25 wrist.I've looked through all the owner's threads but wrist size is rarely listed. Would love to hear feedback, or better yet, see photos that might help.
