Dievas Timeattack Chronograph Watch
When I first saw this watch I was trying to determine what it reminded me of. Then I realized the colors on the dial of white, yellow, and orangey red struck me as very Speed Racer. That seemed to make sense for a racing themed watch called the Timeattack Chronograph by Dievas. Made in Germany now with their tougher steel and PVD processes, Dievas makes an assortment of rather handsome, rather price effective timepieces.Much of the watch says "diver." The case is water resistant to 300 meters and even has screw down pushers and a crown. It has a 5mm thick sapphire crystal and also comes with a water-proof "NyTech" textile strap. Deivas also throws in a NATO strap. So basically it is a modern retro racer diver with all the boldness of a neon diner signage.The Timeattack is placed in a 43mm wide steel case. Omega Seamaster Quartz late 1970s - Plz Help.
Hello everyone,I bought this watch some time ago because i liked the strap and had never seen a seamaster with a silver dial/bezel before. I believe there were two similar models available at the time, the other in a two tone with gold face, bezel and strap. The watch was going fine until the battery ran out, or so I thought.I took the watch to a really decent watchmaker who has always been more than helpful. He said they didn't make the actual batteries anymore because of some complication with the battery content but was able to fit another with some sort of cushion to allow it to fit properly. He tried this but said the battery was not at fault, the movement is gone. I really like the watch which I must admit I hardly even wore. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do. I have been told to maybe look for another 1342 watch for sale to replace the movement or should I just advertise it for spares/parts. If so, what would be a reasonable price, I don't think they even sell

What is it?
Upon arriving home from a week-long journey, I found myself in possession of a new steel on steel 311.30.42.30.01.002 40th Anniversary Moon Landing timepiece. Apparently -- my wife hasn't found me so objectionable after 30 years of marriage. ;>)In looking at the back of the watch, I've noticed a small mark that's roundish in nature and appears 'frosted' in color. It is so light that I've yet to see it appear in a photo of this model. It is almost imperceptible. It appears just prior to the word THE in the wording, THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON. The large photo that I've included is stock Omega. I can't get close enough with my own camera to do justice to the explanation. It's absence in the stock Omega photo may well be just that. It is absent.From the shape, I'm wondering if it isn't the same mark (small photo) that I have seen on the back of a Schumacher model 321.32.44.50.01.001 where it's very obvious?Is this the star that I've read about that doesn't necessarily appea

Hacking?
I’ve seen a few threads that have mentioned “hacking” what does this mean? I’ve only found that it refers to when the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out. Is there some use for this feature? I searched around some, feel free to point me to an article or thread! Thanks
