His passion for life comes through in everything he does, including his company Chronopassion in Paris. Vintage Omega Chrono - Time loss when running the chrono function
An old hand wound watch of mine, made in the late 1960's keeps great time (within 30 seconds per day) when being worn without the chrono being run, but according to it's new owner can lose a minute or more per hour when the chrono is being run constantly. Can I ask:-Is this to be expected? - I would never run a chronograph all the time, so haven't experienced this.Could running the chrono permanently be considered normal useCould the time loss be countered by frequent winding?Has the watch been damaged by running the chrono permanently? Thanks in advance.
Omega Service etching
Rolex etches an S in the saphire crown after a service. Do the folks who service Omegas mark the watch anywhere after servicing?
Incoming! My First PP...TRF Enabling Successful
Really excited that I am fortunate enough to own my first PP. Big thanks to a good friend's guidance and help in order to acquire this watch, and I couldn't be any happier!!Owning a Patek has always been a grail, and lately all the enabling here in the PP sub-forum is out of control!! (in a good way ). I'm just glad that I can now help enable others I always thought I would pick up an AC Patek when and if I purchase my first PP, as I love moonphases and the 5205g is one of my favorites since it was first released. And then I sort of wavered to something more dressy, like a 5396g or a 5227r. However, through all the enabling (I am looking at you Ken (HL65) and Ben's epic post), as well as others, it pointed me to a model that I never really looked at too closely before...the aquanaut. I fell in love with the 5167r, and so, here it is at last! I got home quite late today so only took a few quick pics to share. Will definitely post some more pics when I get a chance. The Patek box h
BB and GMT II
HiQuestion for those who have both, how does GMT II wear compared to the BB in terms of size on the wrist. Does it feel smaller or bigger compared to an in house movement BB ? I have the BB steel and feel that its just as big as I can go with respect to wrist size, any bigger and it will start to get uncomfortable. This is going to be my first Rolex , my wrist size is about 6.5 and I've pretty much made up my mind on getting the GMT II. Haven't tried the watch yet but will be making a trip to the local AD soon. Thanks! wrist shot to show how the BB looks on the wrist.IMG_20180222_065129.jpg
