Rolex Updates the Classic Datejust
The Rolex Datejust is perhaps the quintessential wear-it-anywhere-suit-or-jeans watch. On the 60th anniversary of the original launch, Rolex presents the Oyster Perpetual Datejust II Rolesor. The new model updates the classic Datejust design with a 41mm case. Available in steel and either white or yellow gold with a fluted bezel, the Datejust II is waterproof to 100 meters. The COSC-certified movement is designed and manufactured in house and it features a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. The steel and gold Oyster bracelet is fitted with an Easylink extension link for added wearing comfort. Screws/pin on new Omega Bracelets
What is the deal with the hybrid screw/pin on the new Omega bracelets? Does this combination serve a specific purpose? The screws are so tiny and are difficult to manipulate. I'm not sure why omega didn't use one solid screw (like Rolex) to connect the links. Anyone have any ideas?Sorry if this has been discussed before, I did a cursory search and didn't find anything on par at least via the thread title. Thanks friendsSteve
Independant Omega repairer needed in the UK
Hi, Whilst chatting to my Aunt yesterday she told me that her ladies Omega had stopped working. She does not wear it every day but winds it regularly and listens to the ticking.A few weeks ago she went through this routine but the watch did not tick after the wind. It was sent to Omega and they said that they could not mend it. (It is probably from the 1960s but my Aunt cannot be sure)Please could anyone suggest a reliable person who could sort this out for her in the UK as she is quite down hearted at the moment. Thanks for any info,PeterT
Rolex Cellini Time
Any love for this reference (50505)? I’m thinking about adding a dress watch to my lineup. I currently have a white dial milgauss (116400), a 42mm black dial explorer 2 (216570), and a black dial ceramic sub in yellow gold (116618ln). With that said, I’m interested in the white dial Cellini time in rose gold. I like the simplicity of this Cellini model over the date, dual time, or moon phase. What are your thoughts about this piece? Anyone own one and if so please share some wrist shots. Anyone have a suggestion for a competitor’s piece? The Rolex is around 15k msrp, but I’m seeing them for sale grey market/used from around 8k-10k. They seem like a good value at 10k and below. Thanks in advance!
