Genesis: German Men's Watches By A Woman
Genesis is not just a neat-sounding word that someone thought would make for a good watch brand name. It is rather the name of the brand's founder and designer - Christine Genesis. How convenient is that? To have a cool last name like that? Christine is a rare breed being a full-on watch maker and a female. I wouldn't make a big deal of that fact if it was more common. I, for one, applaud the idea of having more female headliners in the watch industry. Christine's brand begins with some attractive watches that combine a little of classic traditionalism, Bauhaus, and modern minimalism. I don't like all the pieces, but I think overall this a nice brand worth paying attention to.About 3-4 years old now, Genesis has roughly eight models in the collection - each coming in a few styles. I've posted images of my favorite pieces. Genesis uses Swiss mechanical movements which look to be a mix of ETA and Soprod calibres. Most are automatics but there are a few manually wound varieties. Problem with Aqua Terra Chrono
Guys/Gals,I'm a little puzzled....my husband just got an Aqua Terra Chronograph this past Thursday. When I set it for him that evening I gave it a full wind (since I'm most familiar with Rolex I completed 40 turns of the crown). He wore it all day on Friday (about 10hrs) and let it rest on our bathroom counter overnight. It was fine on Saturday and he wore it again for about 9-10hrs. The watch stopped just before 5am on Sunday morning... I thought this was strange. Anyway, I reset it and even put it on my winder for a couple of hours....it was fine and he wore it for most of Sunday. Again, he left it on the bathroom counter overnight....Today he put the watch on around 11am and it stopped at 2:35pm.I really don't have any experience with Omega as this is the first but I'm concerned. Could the reserve be so short? Could something be wrong with the watch?I should mention that we picked it up at Macy's for over 60% off as they were having a HUGE clearance event. Don't have a box or warrant

Incoming LV!
If someone six weeks ago would've asked me whether or not I would pay this kind of money for a green watch I would've told them they were crazy. However, looking at everyone's pictures over the last month or so I have really grown to the point where I had to have one. Pictures do not do it justice. Different lighting throws of different shades of green. Great addition to my Rolex collection . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Daytona prices plummet with new release...
Watching Lord Sugar wearing his ceramic Daytona last night a thought passed through my mind...When Rolex announce their revised Daytona next, the one with the minor tweaks to give it a new reference, will the market be flooded with the old ceramic model (the current one) by all those owners who then must have the new kid on the block? Those owners are currently sitting pretty in the knowledge they can sell their used Daytona at a premium, but will its value suddenly drop the day the new model is announced, as thousands panic sell to get the best price they can before their Daytona market plummets? If I were Rolex I'd be thinking... Hmmm... that was a great success. Let's tweak it a little, push the price up a little, and get it to market soon. Then, repeat every couple of years. What you you think the Daytona's life-cycle is, and the effect the next ceramic model will have on prices of the first one?
