Urwerk EMC Watch: For Mobile Accuracy Tweaking
Urwerk has finally unveiled its EMC watch after teasing the movement back in May. If you'll recall, the EMC (Electro Mechanical Control) watch is a mechanical timepiece with a uniquely designed electronic module that acts as a rate measuring tool. On top of that, the movement has a fine adjustment screw that allows for you to adjust the rate results of the watch yourself. Confused? In short, Urwerk EMC is a watch with a movement you can fine tune yourself (for accuracy) and comes with a built-in tool that measures how accurate it is. Nothing like this has even been done before, and perhaps, no one ever will again.Watch service people and watchmakers use electronic timing tools to measure how accurate mechanical movements are. When watch movements are produced they are initially "regulated" and things like shock, temperature, etccan change how well a watch movement is regulated over time. Most watches should be put on timing machines each few years and potentially adjusted by skilled ha

Aerospace 42mm wear big? or small?
I am heading to the AD tomorrow to look at some watches. I have a few grand extra after all the xmas shopping. My question, does the 42mm or 43mm wear big or small? My daily is a DJII and it wears bigger than its 41mm would lead you to believe. I am used to wearing larger watches, IE Heritage 46, PAM's etc.I have a 7.25 wrist. Just wondering what you guys think. Thanks
5070 or 3940+ALS timezone
Hi-Been going back and forth on which PP to add to my small patek collection, which consists of two perpetual chronos and a minute repeater tourbillon,(i inherited those pieces a couple yrs ago and never wear them...) I have a gold daytona i wear daily, but would like to add a dress watch thats not flashy....So i've narrowed it to the 5070 or 3940... still debating between the two, the plus with the 3940, is i could squeeze in the ALS timezone as well, which i love... The 5070, which is a gorgeous watch, + ALS would be a bit too much to justify to my accountant :) would love to hear your thoughts on 5070 vs 3940+ALS..Also, a question on 3940... The 'rotor' on the back, I've seen some are inscribed with the calatrava insignia and others are not(they just have a 22k)... any significance to either? thanks!and sorry for another, which one should i buy thread :)
