AP 26120 vs Rolex GMT 116713LN anyone have both?
Don't have an AP AD locally but was wondering if anyone had both watches or had pictures of them both side by side. Preferably would like to see a pic with them both on a wrist side by side. I really like both but also find the case a bit chunky on the GMT, however the GMT would probably be more reliable and easier to service but also more common and less interesting...
went crazy with AP
Got my forged carbon last week but kept thinking of Schumacher. Sold my Fc novelty and got the Schumacher. Lost some money but happy.
Omega Constellation 'rattle'
I have a recently acquired 1950s Omega Constellation with 501 movement.I took it along to a specialist to check it was all genuine & get an insurance valuation. That was all good, which was pleasing. The guy in the shop noticed the rattle & said the rotor sounded loose, which would be fixed by a service. I had been finding the rattle pretty annoying (think ring-pull in a Coke can & you'd be in the ball park).Off it goes & three weeks later I go in to pick it up. Exact same rattle. I realise some rotor noise is to be expected, but the guy in the shop thought it was excessive & they've handled many of that type of watch over the years. The shop agree to send it off again. So, what do we think are the chances of it coming back better this time?
Look for AD - NY
Hi all,I'm from Brazil and i'm relishing the chance that my family are going to US next month to buy my first fine watch. After some research, i found that buying on of these online(Amazon, jomashop) would private me of having the international warranty of an omega watch... For someone living outside US like me, its a very important thing.. So here are my questions:1- Where can i find a good AD to buy my watch in new york? Someone offering a good service with good discounts.2- Whats the difference between buying a omega online, on the stores cited above, or through an AD? The watch would be a Seamaster...Thanks everyone =)
Ok, so I THINK I know the answer but....
I just got a white dialed Rolex Datejust a couple of months ago. To the dismay of my wife, I'm thinking of adding another nice watch to my household. [Hey, I just turned 52, complex anyone...?] Anyway, I want a black dialed moonphase chrono. So, there is the Omega Speedmaster, or the Longines moonphase, costing about $1,500 less. Gotta get the Omega, right??
