Richard Mille Caliber Extra Flat Automatic RM 033
Until now, the adjectives “round” and “thin” were not often found in close proximity to the name Richard Mille. The RM 033, launched at SIHH last week, changes that. Ultra-thin is clearly in, and Mille is not missing the boat. His caliber RMXP1 is a mere 2.6mm thick, and at 6.3mm deep, the RM 033 case is a wisp. Look inside for pricing, wallpaper, and more. The RMXP1 caliber is designed to be svelte from the ground up. To save precious millimeters, the automatic-winding micro rotor is off-center. To improve weight distribution and function, the rotor is solid platinum and winds bi-directionally.The caliber RMXP1, with 29 jewels and beating at 3Hz, has a free sprung balance with variable inertia. This type of balance provides increased reliability when subjected to shock and better chronometric results over time. The regulator index is eliminated and a more accurate and repeatable adjustment is possible thanks to 4 small adjustable weights located directly on the
Gives the vortex of 1 Lange something real classy.
A little difficult to say here, but it is applied in the Centre of the part of the watch of the dial face. Gives the vortex of 1 Lange something real classy. Inside of the watch is a L961.2 manufactured internally wound manually the tourbillon movement. The asymmetric dial a time with a small second subsidiary dial, big date ("out-size") and power reserve indicator. Really superb with exposed tourbillon mechanism. Honey gold does not look good with the Brown alligator strap?
Pricing Information on Royal Oaks 15400, 15202, 15450!!!
Here's the pricing information for the new 15400ST. There is, of course, a difference in price between the ref. 15400 and the ref.15202. The 15300ST is now discontinued!!! I am glad I bought mine a few weeks ago. Now it's time to grab one if you can.By the way, the new 41mm 40th Anniversary Royal Oak Ref. 15400 is fitted with the same caliber 3120 as the discontinued 15300ST.The Jumbo (39mm) Ref. 15202 will continue to come with caliber 2121 and there's a long waiting list for it. I think it will be even longer in 2012. The 2012 price for the ref. 15202ST is $22,500 and $60,100 for the rose gold one.The price for the ref. 15400ST is $16,900, rose gold on leather strap $33,800 and solid rose gold with rose gold bracelet $64,800. The 37mm Royal Oak ref. 15450 starts out at $16,300 in steel and $31,000 in rose gold.
Panerai White Gold - Rhodium?
I was at a dealer this weekend who insisted that Panerai had NEVER used rhodium plating for their white gold watches. He might be right, but I thought they originally used rhodium plating, and later went to a palladium alloy. My memory was that their service centers even warned you that they would not refinish their rhodium plated watches. Cant find anything on a Google search, anyone have any details on this? I'm guessing the change was some time ago, more than 5 years. thanks, mark
What is the custom's tax for a Submariner bought in Europe?
Yesterday I flew into San Francisco from Germany walked up to a custom's officer at the airport and asked to pay the federal import tax on a watch. He at first was a bit shocked as I was standing several feet from the exit but after I picked up my bag there were no signs as to where to pay the tax. In my readings I had read of a severe penalty for not paying the tax. When I was finally asked to place my bags on the counter the officer started to say the tax is free for the first $800 and then 6.25% on the balance. She also confidently told me they knew how to find the cost of the watch. The percentage she told me sounded incorrect as I had read on several threads it was about 3-4 %. Today I went to the Federal customs website and it appears that a steel, automatic watch has a tax of 3.1%. A watch with diamonds or made of a precious material is 6.25%.Can anyone confirm the correct tax percentage for a Rolex Steel Sub?I repeatedly asked the agents for a final detailed account. They told m
