Bell & Ross BR 01 Casino Watch
I am not a gambler but gaming can be fun. So fun that a lot of high-end watch brands have devised casino-themed timepieces that either suggest or directly emulate gaming. A popular example was the Girard-Perregaux Jackpot Tourbillon of several years ago. It had a tourbillon, actual slot machine, and cost over $600,000. More recently, Christophe Claret offered his extremely complicated 21 Blackjack watch with a roulette, dice, and blackjack game all in one timepiece. There have been watches that focus on everything from poker to simply being in a casino. This Bell & Ross BR01-92? Casino is all about roulette.The world first saw this timepiece back in 2011 when Bell & Ross created a piece unique Casino watch for the Only Watch auction. 15400 - Blue Dial Pricing
I was in NY this week for work and stopped in the AP boutique. I had actually wanted to see the two-tone rose gold/steel in person, but came away loving the blue dial iteration. Would I be right to assume that it's not really possible to swing any kind of discounts from the boutiques? I've got a local AD that says he can get me 25-30% off a black dial so I'm hoping someone will tell me that I'm wrong ;).

Strap refinishing
Question... is it possible to get a strap refinished? my original Hornback on my safari as some strange color runs in it. The leather itself is perfect and not cracked or worn its like the prvious owners sweat has darkened all the edges and a 1/4 way across each side.I have an aftermarket one that came with it as well but i like to keep all my stuff OE spec. I also cannot justify the price of a new one... that is just taking the piss for some leather when you put into perspective a pair of expensive leather shoes arent much more lol!Am i being a tightass or is it possible to have it refinished?

World timers - are they still useful?
I think the Patek world timers are great looking watches, with an artistic and well executed complication, but with countries changing their timezones it's becoming increasingly less useful.First it was Moscow, and today i read that Spain is considering moving its clocks back an hour to GMT. When you factor in the inconsitent observances of DST, I'm happy to report i'm no longer tempted...Curious how others feel. Does anyone buy these for their useful complication, or it is simply about the aesthetic?

Rolex purchase issue - Need advice on what to do now
Yesterday I posted an incoming thread for a SS Daytona that I was very excited to receive, but today I need advice from the forum.When I purchased the Daytona it was described as a 2007 Daytona and in March 2018 had an extensive refurb/service at RSC in the UK. Bezel, dial, hands, glass and crown were replaced. Watch came with box, original document with perforated serial number and 2 year Rolex warranty.The document states the watch was sold in 2007 (hand written) however, the serial number has the letter P at the beginning which means it was produced in 2000.So what I thought was an 11 year old watch, may actually be 18 years old according to a friend who knows these things.I find it hard to believe that it was lying around unsold for 7 years!!!I can return the watch within 14 days of purchase.What should I do?Thanks in advance.
