IWC North America President Gianfranco D’Attis: The WatchTime Q&A
IWC Schaffhausen has made 2013 the Year of the Ingenieur, and to launch the new collection in the U.S., the brand joined WatchTime for a gala event at its flagship boutique in New York City. Prior to the event, WatchTime spoke with IWC North America president Gianfranco D’Attis about the revamped Ingenieur line and his lifelong personal connection to the brand.WT: You were raised in Schaffhausen, which makes your connection to IWC a very personal one. What was that like, and when did you first become aware of the brand and the role it played in your hometown?GD: Well, my entire family wore IWC watches. In Schaffhausen, at least 10 percent of the town works for IWC, so you’re basically not allowed to wear any competitor’s watch!WT: So It would be like driving a foreign car in Detroit?GD: Absolutely, and everybody is proud of representing their town on their wrist. This is likely do to the fact that it will be placed at the Corpus Christi College at Cambridge.Taylor has had a privileged life no doubt aided by his inherent talent and skills. He gained his fortune improving of all things, thermostats. You can read more about him here. About seven years ago he began the development of this clock which he half paid for himself at a total cost of about one million English Pounds. Although this amount seems high, you have to take into consideration the budgets involved when Swiss watch m

After much deliberation, I pulled the trigger on the 44mm AP ROO Ti. It's big and bold as I anticipated but surprisingly comfortable and light on the wrist. Thanks to the all the members who gave me great advice and support. A mandatory wrist shot and a few side by side photos for reference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tritium Pearl Test
Hello!I have a 1996 Sea-Dweller that supposedly has a tritium insert and tritium pearl. I have my doubts and I think it is a luminova pearl. Does anyone know if there is a way to test the pearl to see if it is tritium or not? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
