Meistersinger Launches the New Circularis With Bespoke Movement
Meistersinger C maker of the famous watch with one hand C has announced a new watch with a new, bespoke, manually wound movement known as caliber MSH01. The movement features a striking design and some interesting technical features. Let’s take a look. The new watch is the Circularis, and it is the first piece in a new family of models powered by the all-new movement. Meistersinger developed the movement jointly with a Swiss partner. The two companies devoted three years to the project. The movement is highly distinctive C its unusual geometry can't be mistaken for any other. The first thing you notice is the large, organically shaped bridge, then you see the prominent twin mainspring barrels, which together provide a smooth flow of power for a full five days. The twin barrels and the balance wheel form a triangle that gives the movement a balanced look. The movement is very well finished, with circular c?tes de Genve, angled and polished edges, mirror-polished bevels, thermally
Tissot 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 Limited Edition Watches
While Omega has the Olympics, fellow Swatch Group brand Tissot has the Asian Games (aka the Asiad). The 17th Asian Games will take place this year in the South Korean city of Incheon September 19th - October 4th, 2104, and will be sponsored by Tissot as the official timekeeper of the Asian Games. Of course, the occasion calls for a host of limited edition watches. As the official timekeeper of the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014, Tissot of course will release a slew of limited edition timepieces. In fact, there will be nine different limited edition models for the Asian Games, and each will be limited to 2,014 pieces. The 2014 Asian Games are similar to the Olympics, but I am not an expert on the event. They have a range of sporting events and competitors from all over Asia come to win medals. Rather than the global appeal of the Olympics, the Asian Games appear to only include participants from countries on the Asian continent, and that includes India and the Middle East. Check out more i

If you have an ipad or iphone
Check out issue 2 of The Watch Magazine in the Newsstand app. They have an article on the 40th anniversary of the royal oak. Admittedly, it isn't a great read but free to download and something else to read if you can't get enough of AP articles.
Patek RG discoloration
I'm not sure whether this has ever come up before. My wife owns a ladys 33mm RG Nautilus, say about 5yr old or so, and she wears it as her daily. It has a bunch of microscratches/deskdive scratches and all, but no major dings of any sort. I started to realize one day that it started to look quite YGish, and needless to say when I compare it to new RG Nautilus it is quite yellowish. Now according to the AD, they said its quite normal as the copper mixed in with the RG oxidizes over time changing the hue/color. They claim that a light polish during service should bring the original color back, but I'm one of those against polishing unless really necessary. Does anyone know this for a fact?I have never seen this with Rolex's everrose gold, and I have not owned a Patek RG piece long enough to experience this and at the same time I take good care of my watches. I'm wondering whether having more scratches will expose the RG to more discoloration/oxidation???
