To buy or not to buy
I recently came across an AP RO 36mm, specifically the Pictet & Cie special edition from 2005 of which about 1,800 were made. Pics attached. I met the seller (ex-Pictet banker) in person and had a good look at the watch. It comes with original papers and box. It is in perfect condition, barely worn, never serviced or polished. I negotiated the price down to $6,300 and have until tomorrow to decide. Based on my research, this seems to be a very good price as I haven't this specific model being sold or having been sold for less than $8000+.The only reason I am hesitating is the resale value of the watch. It has the bank's logo engraved in the back and furthermore it also has the name of the Pictet banker who originally received the watch engraved in the back. I am wondering how easily and at what price I will be able to sell this watch in the future. I have a decent collection and I almost never buy a watch that I don't think I will be able to sell in the future for at least the same

So, I arrived yesterday evening too early at Singapore's Changi Airport Singapore, with time to spare. After filling up myself with free food from the airport lounge, I decided to walk around looking for duty free. But with nothing interesting to buy, I started to amuse myself by looking at my watch instead and it suddenly dawn on me that my AP 15400 is putting up a lightshow! I mean the airport terminal, with all the shops and neon lights and signboards giving out all kinds of light and reflections, it is the perfect venue for a watch like my Royal Oak 15400 to dance to all the lights around. Like this : So with my trusty cameraphone, I started to photograph my watch under all sorts of lighting conditions. And the pics do turn out quite nice! Anyway, just want to share with you guysIt's my pleasure to present to you, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400 Airport lightshow. Enjoy! And Let's not forget also the bracelet! While I was busy taking pictures, I did draw the curious stares fr
