Breitling chrono super ocean appraisal
Hello everyone. My dad received a new Breitling chronometre super ocean last november for his retirement from his employer. The watch came with box only and has no owners manual or papers. The watch is brand new and has never been worn. I took it to a local jewelry mart and I wanted to see how much it was worth. They offered me $1600. She said that's the best she can do because of no papers. My question is this a fair offer? Should I keep the watch and try to get papers for it, (if possible)? Should I try a Breitling distributor? I'm in the Chicago area and this was the only person who seen the watch and quoted me a price. Any other good places I can take the watch to have appraised? Thank you for any help.
Omega PO Bracelet Swap? Bezel too?
Hi all,New to the forum and looking for some assistance. I have an Omega PO that has the black rubber band with orange stitching. How difficult is it swap out that band for a ss bracelet? I would like to switch up the style of the watch every once in a while. Is all I need the new bracelet and a $20 link/band tool or pin compression tool? This watch also has the orange bezel. How hard would that be to swap as well? Or is that more for a watchmaker to do, than me?Thanks!
Radiomir on a Luminor Rubber Strap
I recently picked up a PAM 512 as my daily:The 512 is perfect to me. The P.999 movement is ultra slender so it sits perfectly on my tiny wrists and the 42mm size is on point. A weird part of me really wanted the Radiomir look on a typically-Luminor OEM rubber strap. Thoughts? Am I crazy? Purists, don't hate me!
