Zenith Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Revolucin Watches For South America
As we've written about here before, Zenith has released quite a watch-making marvel with their ACADEMY Christophe Colomb Hurricane models. Here is a new limited edition set in honor of iconic individuals responsible for government reform and independence in South America. So say "viva la revolucion" with your best Che impersonation and get ready for a very "non people's budget friendly" collection of new stunning art pieces. With a fusee-chain transmission to apply constant force and, a gyroscopic gimbal setup to theoretically negate the effect of gravity on the movement, it's literally an award-winning watch with a new Latin twist. Given the amount of effort involved in creating these pieces, it's no surprise, then, that we're treated to small-run limited editions in the lineup.Their latest release heads down to Central and South America, with tribute being paid to Simn Bolvar (ref. 40.2213.8805/36.C714), Ernesto Che Guevara (ref. 18.2214.8805/36.C713)?and Emiliano Zapata (ref. 34
New Omega Arrival...
After trying on a WSOTM, I couldn't get white watches out of my head. I wasn't really looking to buy a White Side, but wanted something similar. After banging around for a week was able to source both the watch on bracelet and the strap (the boutique had one in stock).I know it's not for everyone, but I think it's cool.
Replacement Patek box interior - where to buy?
My wife's anual calendar Patek box which is a late 2000s rosewood box I believe. The interior on the piece that holds the watch which is easily removed had a lot of discolouration on it, like purple or brown blotches. We assumed it must be humidity related. Anyway, she wants to part exchange the watch and we are concerned we will be low balled by the store just because of the discolour on the practically worthless element of the box, probably worth about $5 to build. Everything else on the box and watch is mint with papers, but would like this to be mint too so she can get the best value on a part ex

Thinking about adding a third...
So currently I have a black GMT Master II 116710LN and a white Daytona 116520.The GMT has been somewhat a daily beater, and also was my first one.The Daytona has been reserved for occasional weekend use, and special days.Have owned both from new.I am contemplating getting a new Steel Sky Dweller (blue dial) at some point if I get lucky enough to get the call but if the call does come, I need to decide how to play things.I am not sure I can keep all three, so might have to flip one of the two oldies. If so, which to flip. I mean it'd be sad to see either go, one was my first and had been a trusty daily companion, and the other is an iconic watch with a great movement in its calibre 4130 and I love its clean looks.Clearly I'd do what I can to keep both and add to them with a third (as the blue will go nicely with the other two, a varied and diverse enough a collection in terms of look and feel, for me) but if I cant, advice on how to decide which to flip? The mint 116520 would probably mo
