Mido was founded in 1918 by watchmaker Gorges Schaeren and 40 years ago it launched a classic collection with a very exotic name: Baroncelli, joined by the Baroncelli Heritage in 2016.The steel or PVD-coated rose gold case comes in two sizes (33mm or 39mm) with a smooth gadroon-shape bezel. It houses the self-winding ETA-based Mido 1192 calibre which provides a 42-hour power reserve and fuels the time and date functions.The delicately grained ivory dial bears three hands: two gold dauphine-shape hour and minute hands and a blue seconds hand. New to me Panerai 337
I've been fond of Panerais for a while but never even considered the brand for myself due to their large size and my small wrist. Then I discovered the Panerai 337. So sleek, so thin and so small for a Panerai. I've been looking for a good deal on a Panerai 337 ever since I first found out about it 6 months ago. Then I saw one for sale online and knew I had to have it!It feels super comfortable on my wrist and a nice change up from my SubC date. Here are some pics:

36mm Oyster Perpetual vs Datejust
I'm looking at a future purchase for the wife.We've narrowed it down to the Oyster Perpetual 36 and the DateJust 36.For the stainless steel models, the DJ ($6600) is a little more than the OP ($5400), but has more options (dial, bezel, bracelet, etc).My wife doesn't care for the date. On her current watches, she just has me to change the date for her.But, in talking with her, she doesn't mind either of the two watches.My questions are... 1. Is one better than the other in terms of holding its value?2. Is one better than the other in terms of getting a discount?3. For a possible resale later on, is there a big difference in getting the oyster bracelet vs the jubilee bracelet (if we go with the datejust)?4. Lastly, is there anything else I should be thinking about, that I haven't mentioned?
