Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2014: The Progress Of The Chinese Watch Industry
To say that I was excited about my first visit to the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair C and my first time in Asia, for what it's worth C would be a massive understatement.?You see, over the years, we have written dozens of Inside The Manufacture articles, accumulating our experiences in?plenty of Swiss and other manufacturers, from the tiny one-man workshop to the state of the art manufacturing facilities of industry giants like Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and many others. However, it only happens ever so scarcely that we get proper insight into what basically is the engine of the world at this point: China. Certainly, for watches, Switzerland and Japan are both?hugely important, but as one would expect, China represents another level when it comes to output C with a steadily improving level of quality. But let's not get so?carried away, and rather discuss the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and its many faces in an orderly fashion. To begin with, we should note that the Hong Kong Watch &a
Once in a lifetime... my journey to acquire my grail (lots of pics)
There are a few moments in our lives where we know is very special. This weekend was one of mine.As some of you know from my recent threads, I’ve been a Panerai guy for the last 10 years. A couple years ago, I started looking at APs mainly due to a fellow car guy - s14roller. It was a lot more expensive than what I wanted to spend so I tabled that for a few years (but I have still browsed the AP forums periodically). After a long year at work, I decided to treat myself with my first AP. I didn’t know much of AP at all (and am still learning now) so I looked at a lot of pics and bugged a LOT of people with questions (once again, mainly Jack - s14roller, peter - wx watches, Sam – 911cab, etc). Looked at Panda, new panda, the Beast, Ti-grays theme, and RG rubberclad… all were nice watches but none of them “spoke to me.”Until… I saw the RB2Ti. Being a car guy, it was easy to be drawn to this LE. I’m not eloquent with words so the best

What an amazing watch. Every time I put it on I wear it for a long time. It still catches my eye on what a wonderful made watch it is. Just imagine what it's like to see through a space suit as you see the world just below you from so high above. It has so much history and the design is so old but is so timeless. And one tough guy to be on every adventure you have. What a piece of history. Timeless is the best word for it. It looks at you with wide eyes with how big the display is. Good stuff.
Help with Trade on collection
Hello Again everyone I need some advice!!! So I've been refining my collection I got rid of my Omegas and I sold my old 5711 to fund a brand new 5711 blue dial from an AD as they finally got one in so papers are in my name. Anyways I need help because while I was looking in the dealer I realized although I'm a huge watch enthusiast that likes a variety of brands Patek seems to really make everything else I try on not so satisfying. Now I have two questions that I need advice on what to do to well round my collection. So my currently I stand with these beautiful watches: A Rolex Milgauss White dial, A Rolex Blnr, a Rolex 116520 Daytona, an Ap 15202 white dial 2014 dated so hard to find a late model white dial and of course last but not least my Patek 5711 blue dial. The two watches that really got me moving was A Patek Philippe 5726/a on a leather strap and a Patek Philippe 5960/1a just really was a stunner. So I'm to the point now that for a short period of time I'm not comfortable buy
Pam 564
Hey all!It has been a while since I have posted anything but I have been following, making mental notes and daydreaming about future purchases. Recently I have been leaning towards making the jump into Panerai. I have tried on a number of different models and finally found the best fit for me with the 564. The problem is, I cannot find any information other than a few reviews on some well known websites done in 2014. I'm not planning on flipping this but I am a fairly frugal person and definitely not known as spontaneous. Half of the fun of making a new purchase is doing the research and reading the reviews from other WIS members like you all here. With all that that being said, does anyone have any intimate knowledge about the 564 and/or reviews? Thanks for the help in advance!
