Hyetis Crossbow Swiss Mechanical Smartwatch + Interview
We know that smartwatches are definitely an in thing (and if you don't, here are some of our articles on the topic), and of course Swiss-made watches are something we're all keenly aware of. To-date though, those have been mutually exclusive descriptors. And that makes sense, as smartwatches are generally full of radios and other bits of silicon - not exactly conducive to something mechanical. Though, the Crossbow watch by Hyetis will change that by offering what the producers believe to be the best of both worlds.Arny Kapshitzer and his company, Hyetis, are setting out to change that with their Crossbow Watch - and below we have an exclusive interview with him about Hyetis. While it would be cool to think about a battery getting recharged by a spinning rotor (and those do exist), this is a much more conventional sort of application (if I could call it that). My first AP is coming!
I purchased this watch on impulse, as I am leaving for Europe tomorrow. However, I got a great deal on it and now have a grueling 16 hour wait for the watch to be at my doorstep. As soon as it arrives, I will post some pictures. In the meantime, any guesses for what I got?
The Moon Walkers show off their Speedies

New Look For PO
Hi guys Got myself a new strap for my 42mm PO.I know how you all like pictures so I thought I'd share...Ordered this direct from Austria...IMG_1559.JPGHirsh Jumper Black Croc with orange stitch. Came with a tool & new spring bars.IMG_1560.JPGI fancied a new look without spending a small fortune. I sent the PO for a service and it came back all lovely & polished but after a couple of months the clasp's starting to show signs of wear, IMG_1562.JPGThis is my first attempt to change straps. The tool was the wrong size but I managed to get the bracelet off with a bit of fiddling.IMG_1563.JPGGetting the new strap on was pretty easy, although I did put it on the wrong way round at first & had to swap it back round again!!IMG_1564.JPGWorn it for the rest of the day and could hardly take my eyes off it, Almost like having a whole new watch..I love the orange stitching, it's nearly an exact match to the bezel in the right lightAnyway sorry for the long post, hope you enjoy the pics.
Yacht Master Dial Question
Were there two different versions of the metallic platinum dial on the SS Plat YM? If so when was the change?
