Introducing The Breitling Transocean Chronograph Edition
We like good Breitling, and the new Transocean Chronograph doesn't disappoint. This model hankers for its roots a bit more than its predecessor with a vintage-feeling scheme and a simpler dial layout. Best of all, and unlike the earlier model, the Transocean Chronograph features a sapphire case back to showcase manufacture wares. 2 OF 4 The new model starts off with a 43 mm case (foreshadowing what's inside) in highly-polished stainless steel with steeply curved lugs. Like most Breitlings, you're bound to feel every millimeter of it. The dial has what Breitling calls "twinzone silver d��cor," but it's more along the lines of champagne in color. The tachymeter scale (probably excessive on this watch) is still on the outer perimeter of the dial, only this time a darker disc highlights the applied hour markers and date window at 6 o'clock. 3 OF 4 Is the date window necessary? Introducing: The New F.P. Journe Octa Divine, With A Redesigned Dial And Larger Case
While SIHH 2016 is certainly the main topic in the watch world right now, it is not the only game in town when it comes to watch announcements this week. F.P. Journe has announced an update of their Octa Divine watch.  You may recall that earlier this year F.P. Journe released a box set to commemorate the end of their production of 38 mm watches. In tandem with dropping the 38 mm size, Journe is also doing a piece-by-piece redesign of the collection. The thought with the redesign is that the old version will be discontinued, and the new version of the watch will available in 40 mm and 42 mm sizes. In order to do this, the dial needs to be redesigned because it wouldn’t look right to simply put the same dial in a larger case. Stopped by the Geneva Salon. It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. They had a ton of inventory and even had real, but non-working, versions of some of the hardest to get/see/try-on and Baseline references. Enjoy.

AD vs Boutique
Is there any difference pros/cons wise between buying at an AD that sells a wide variety of watch brands, and buying at a boutique that exclusively sells Rolex and Tudor? Advice is greatly appreciated
